Ja Morant's Powerade Deal Is in Trouble Following Gun Video
Considering the reaction to Ja Morant's visit to a Denver strip club, the future of his lucrative, multiyear endorsement deal with Powerade is uncertain.
After a disappointing loss in Denver on March 4, Morant went to Shotgun Willie's and showed off his weapon in a series of Instagram Live videos.
All ads from the Ja Morant Powerade deal were reportedly pulled from television and social media ten days after the two parties signed the contract, according to The Daily Mail.
The sports drink company, owned by Coca-Cola, has not said anything about Morant since the scandal in Glendale, Colorado.
The Grizzlies' star guard has been taken down from the company's website, and a commercial featuring Morant has been taken down from YouTube and other online platforms.
Coca-Cola's relationhips with Morant is said to be over, although it is not clear whether this is the case or whether the company is still awaiting the NBA's judgment on how long to suspend him.
The Ja Morant Powerade deal was announced on March 1, stating that the Grizzlies' star would be the face of a $10 million commercial campaign in 2023, just days before the star point guard went live on Instagram.

Ja Morant's Controversial Gun Video
The scandalous gun video that Morant posted in the wee hours of March 4 has eclipsed his spectacular ascension to the NBA.
Shirtless, Morant dangles the gun and raps along to YoungBoy Never Broke Again's "Bring 'Em Out" in the video.
He went on a binge on March 2 and spent at least $50,000 in cash, said NY Post.
"He was there to party, he wanted some girls in the room," a club insider had told The Post.
Morant returned to the club joint two days later when the Denver Nuggets crushed his Tennessee squad.
He got himself into trouble after uploading the footage in question.
The club's owners remarked that Morant was "exceptionally respectful" and sweet.
The other dancers, though, were "completely horrified" by his firearm antics, according to a report in The Post.
"He pulled the white boy excuse card: 'I'm just going through a lot right now, so I'm going to act [like] a fool and put other people's lives at risk,'" she said.
Glendale police stated they investigated but ultimately opted not to press charges against Morant due to lack of evidence.
Despite his sincere regret and apologies to his teammates and the public, Morant still must deal with what he did.
Former NFL Star Dez Bryant Calls to Boycott Strip Club That Leaked Ja Morant's Video
Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has emerged as a voice of reason amid the controversy surrounding Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant, especially regarding why athletes should not hit up strip clubs, Clutch Points noted.
"The strip club got paid for the videos and photos of Ja Morant from the Ny post," Bryant tweeted. "Athletes entertainers please don't spend a dime or step another foot in there out of respect for Ja.... Whoever owned that strip club sold that video for self benefit... Athletes, I'm going to keep giving game."
Photo taken at Shotgun Willie's shows Ja Morant having a lap dance from a stripper and has gone viral since being published online.
