Gina Rodriguez, who is known for her "Jane the Virgin" role, has officially welcomed her first son with her husband Joe LoCicero.

PEOPLE confirmed that the couple is now parents of a baby boy, according to the actress' agent.

In July, Rodriguez announced that she and her husband were expecting their first child together. The two married each other in 2019.

The announcement and the actress' birthday overlapped and celebrated the day by announcing the news through an Instagram post, captioning the image with "this birthday hits different."

Rodriguez said in her announcement that she is very excited and overwhelmed and feels like "a superwoman."

She went on to say that she has so much appreciation for people that have "brought a child onto this planet."

Rodriguez said she also could relate to her Netflix series "Last Ollie" as she prepared to welcome her first baby.

Gina Rodriguez Seen Out With Newborn Son

The new mom was seen for the first time since giving birth to her first child walking with her newborn in Los Angeles, California on Saturday.

Rodriguez was wearing a white baby harness strapped to her front to keep her newborn close while she was walking around the neighborhood, as reported by Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, the Golden Globe award-winning actress was seen wearing a black t-shirt, leggings, and a pair of Nike sneakers, with glasses and her wavy brunette hair in a low ponytail.

Rodriguez and LoCicero have yet to publicly announce the arrival of the new member of their family.

She was last seen with her baby bump on January 25.

Rodriguez and her husband met while filming "Jane the Virgin" in 2016, and revealed by 2018 that they were engaged.

LoCicero has been known for acting and modeling but has also established a career as an MMA fighter.

In one interview with Ellen DeGeneres, she admitted that she wanted a baby but considered adoption as she does not want to go through "the whole process" that comes with pregnancy.

Gina Rodriguez has been known for her notable roles in the TV series "Jane the Virgin," and the films "Deepwater Horizon," "Annihilation," and "Awake."

IMDB noted that she was also part of the animated TV series "Big Mouth" as the voice of Gina Parrot.

She was also present in the 32 episodes of "Carmen Sandiego" and was the voice actor of Black Sheep. The series ran from 2019 to 2021.

The "Jane the Virgin" alum also dipped her talents in voice acting, serving as the voice actor for Princess Marissa of TV series "Elena Avalor."

The actress also proved to be skillful when it comes to being a producer. She was the executive producer of 2023 "Not Dead Yet" for four episodes and the TV movie "Jane the Novela."

Rodriguez has four upcoming projects as a producer, such as "Players," "Like It Used to Be," "Carmen Sandiego," and "Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass."
