Florida teen Aiden Fucci will be spending his life in prison after a judge passed his sentence for the killing of teen cheerleader Tirstyn Bailey.

The New York Post reported that the reason the judge imposed a life sentence was due to his "senseless desire" to just feel "what it was like to feel someone."

St. Johns County Circuit Judge Lee Smith said that the maximum sentence was also due to the brutality and premeditated nature of the murder.

Smith noted that it was not done out of greed nor retaliation, retribution, and revenge. He added that it was not a crime of passion.

The judge said that it was only committed as Fucci felt "rejected by her," adding that there was "no reason" and "no purpose."

Smith concluded that the crime was done for no other reason than to satisfy Fucci's "internal desire to feel what it was like to kill someone."

Aiden Fucci Verdict

The judge said that Fucci will have 30 days to appeal the sentence if he plans to do so.

The prosecutor noted that Fucci had told witnesses that he planned to stab someone to death in the woods, according to CNN. Witnesses also added that Fucci only picked the Florida cheerleader in a "fit of rage."

Fucci would reportedly later brag about the murder in jail while often drawing pictures of mutilated bodies.

Bailey's father, Forrest Bailey, shared a message after the sentencing of Fucci, saying that they were extremely proud of the person Bailey was during her time with them. He also expressed his gratitude to those who worked the case, including the judge, for imposing a life sentence.

Bailey's father also asked to treat the Fucci family with kindness at this time as they, too, are going through pain.

Tristyn Bailey Murder

The Florida cheerleader was last seen May 9 wearing a white skirt paired with a dark-colored shirt. The next day Fucci was in custody and was taken for a second-degree murder charge, according to the sheriff's announcement.

Fucci was also a student at Patriot Oaks and was in Bailey's close proximity, having lived near her. His girlfriend and other friends said that the 13-year-old murder suspect would often discuss killing people and his plan to bring them to the woods and stab them, as reported by The Florida Times-Union.

Police reports noted Fucci wanted Bailey's number and wanted to meet at a friend's home.

An hour and 45 minutes later, Fucci was seen in video footage heading back alone and carrying his shoes.

Bailey was stabbed 114 times with cutting wounds on her head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and back. At least 49 of those stab wounds were defensive wounds, according to a medical examiner.

Fucci then posted a Snapchat photo while he was in the backseat of a patrol car. He then captioned the photo asking if anybody had "seen Tristyn lately."

One responded and said he was with him and that he knew what had happened to her.
