Kansas City Chiefs Superfan Accused of Robbery Goes Missing
A $1 million bond warrant was issued on Monday for a Kansas City Chiefs superfan facing robbery charges in Oklahoma after he failed to appear in court.
According to the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office, Xaviar Babudar has been missing since his ankle monitor was removed over the weekend, ESPN reported.
Babudar, 28, was scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment hearing on Monday. The Kansas City Chiefs superfan was arrested on December 16 after allegedly robbing the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union in Bixby, Oklahoma,
He faces robbery charges with a dangerous weapon and assault while masked or disguised. Babudar was released on bond last month after he pleaded not guilty.
Michael Lloyd, Babudar's bail bondsman, said he got notification Saturday night that the ankle monitor was removed without permission.
Lloyd tried to find Babudar at the hotel where he was staying in Tulsa, but he was nowhere to be found.
A court affidavit noted that the severed ankle monitor was discovered in the nearby woods. According to the affidavit, Babudar has ignored all attempts to contact him.

Kansas City Chiefs Superfan Xaviar Babudar's Alleged Robbery
There was some concern among Chiefs supporters that they had yet to see any tweets from Xaviar Babudar for two days leading up to Sunday's game against the Texans at NRG Stadium in Houston.
Like most NFL fans, he would mock the opposing team whenever possible. But he did not seem to be tweeting during the Kansas City Chiefs' overtime victory over the Texans, thanks to a game-winning touchdown run by Jerick McKinnon.
When the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union was reportedly robbed, FOX News reported that the officers arrived and put up a perimeter. The suspect was then caught trying to flee with a gun and a large sum of money.
It turned out that Babudar was a big Chiefs fan traveling the country to support the Chiefs, often dressed in a KC Wolf costume and mask. Babudar allegedly wore a mask throughout the robbery, but it was unclear if it was a wolf mask.
Xaviar Babudar Puts Himself in Deeper Trouble After Removing Ankle Monitor
An application to lessen Xaviar Babudar's bond was submitted in January on his behalf by his public defender, who argued that the current amount of $200,000 was excessive.
Babudar noted in that document that he had been self-employed for around five years, according to his lawyer.
Judge Kasey Baldwin decreased Babudar's bond to $80,000, and he was ordered to remain in Oklahoma. According to court records, the GPS monitoring device may have been removed on Saturday.
A Tulsa police officer discovered the slashed monitoring device in a forested area near E. 79th Place. The court's services team could not locate Babudar.
District Judge Michelle Keely issued the warrant and set bond at $1 million after the Kansas City Chiefs superfan failed to appear for his arraignment.
The removal of the electronic monitoring device resulted in an extra felony charge being brought against Babudar, according to the district attorney's office, the Kansas City Star reported.
