Amid dating rumors with Zayn Malik, Selena Gomez was spotted having dinner with the former One Direction singer's personal assistant.

The 30-year-old Latina actress and singer was seen walking side-by-side with Taryn Zimmerman as they left Nobu restaurant in New York City on March 21.

Two days after the ladies' dinner, Gomez was allegedly spotted kissing and hugging Malik, also 30, at an unnamed celebrity hotspot in Soho.

In a viral TikTok video, a friend of a hostess at the said hotspot claimed that Gomez and Malik walked into the establishment "hand in hand" on March 23 and were openly "making out."

The hostess' friend, Klarissa Garcia, told Page Six the next day that the two stars arrived at peak dinnertime and allegedly continued kissing at their table, which she said was located in the middle of the bustling restaurant.

Garcia said Gomez and Malik stayed for two hours before they left. Malik recently became one of Gomez's more than 400 million Instagram fans, leading some to speculate that they are dating. Malik follows only 18 people.

For those familiar with them, the two stars have already hooked up before, so their possible new fling should not come as a surprise.

An insider in the music industry said earlier this week that Gomez and Malik "had a thing years ago, when Taylor [Swift] and Harry [Styles] were dating [in 2012]," referring to Gomez's best friend and Malik's former bandmate.

"It doesn't surprise me that they're potentially together [today]," the source added.

Zayn Malik Wants to 'See Where Things Go' With Selena Gomez

Seeming to confirm the dating rumors, a source told Us Weekly that Zayn Malik, who has a two-year-old daughter with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, wanted to "see where things go" with Selena Gomez.

The insider noted that the pair are not "super serious" now, but Malik thinks Gomez is "incredible" and wants to see how things will turn out, Daily Mail reported.

The source said Malik had known Gomez for years, and "he's definitely into her," he "always admired her and thinks she's an incredible person, inside and out." 

The insider noted that Malik is feeling "optimistic," but there is no "pressure' on the situation, and Gomez is still "free to see other people." 

"He's been focused on himself these past few years and feels like he's ready to date again. He's feeling optimistic about the possibility of things growing between him and Selena but isn't putting any pressure on the situation. He'd rather just let things progress organically and believes she feels the same," the source added.

Gigi Hadid Reacts to Zayn Malik Dating Selena Gomez

According to a source, Gigi Hadid does not mind if her ex-boyfriend, Zayn Malik, is dating Selena Gomez.

The insider told Us Weekly that Hadid "has no problem whatsoever with Zayn dating," as long as "he is happy and stable and continues to be a good co-parent to [their daughter] Khai."

Hadid and Malik started dating after she was featured in his "Pillowtalk" music video. They were on and off from November 2015 until October 2021, according to StyleCaster.

Hadid and Malik split up because he reportedly got into a fight with her mom, Yolanda, in October 2021. The model previously told The Sunday Times that she and Malik always keep their daughter's "happiness at the forefront" of their minds."

Hadid, who was recently linked to Leonardo DiCaprio, was the last known woman that Malik dated. In January, Gomez was seen kissing Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers.

She also dated The Weeknd, who was in a relationship with Hadid's sister, Bella Hadid, for years, but Gomez's most famous relationship was with Justin Bieber.
