House Republicans Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene and New York Representative George Santos were in Manhattan to protest Donald Trump's indictment. However, they were forced to flee by counter-protesters who were rallying against Donald Trump.

Pro-Trump protesters led by the two Republican representatives were in the area close to the courthouse to support Trump, with Greene serving as the headliner of the MAGA rally. This was happening as Trump was getting arraigned. He pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts.

However, within minutes of their respective arrivals, the two Republican lawmakers were quickly surrounded by anti-Trump counter-protesters, forcing them to flee the scene. CNBC pointed out that while Greene was still able to make a speech, Santos fled before the protest officially began.

The rally was organized by the New York Young Republican Club, but Greene's speech was drowned out by whistles and drums from protesters. Greene blamed Democrats, but it turned out that some of the whistles were handed out by pro-Trump demonstrators.

Greene, a known right-wing provocateur, claimed she was "swarmed" by protestors.

"We were swarmed. Unbelievably swarmed," she said in an interview. 

She headed to Mar-a-Lago after she left New York, saying that she was "completely committed to fighting this injustice" before comparing Trump to Jesus Christ.

"President Trump is joining some of the most incredible people in history being arrested today. Nelson Mandela was arrested; served time in prison. Jesus. Jesus was arrested and murdered by the Roman government," said the controversial congresswoman.

As for George Santos, the embattled congressman posted on social media, writing, "Say what you want, I showed up what about you?"

New York City Mayor Eric Adams Warned Marjorie Taylor Greene Ahead of Planned Appearance

The New York City local government was ready for Greene, with Mayor Eric Adams sending her a strong message before she even arrived in the city.

"People like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech, while you're in town, be on your best behavior," he said during a press conference on Monday.

According to USA Today, Adams warned potential "rabble rousers" like Greene and Santos to control themselves.

"New York City is our home, not a playground for your misplaced anger," he stated, adding that he had already anticipated disruption in the city from the likes of Greene but was not worried about violence.

Following Trump's arraignment, it was described as mostly peaceful, and things did not get violent as they did on January 6.

Greene responded to Mayor Adams, saying, "As you can see, I'm standing here peacefully protesting, but you called me out by name while you allow crime in your streets."

Stormy Daniels Claps Back at Marjorie Taylor Greene

Greene also used her Twitter presence to attack Stormy Daniels, the porn star who was allegedly paid off by Trump to keep silent during the 2016 presidential elections.

Greene responded to a tweet from Daniels saying that the Democrats are relying on a heroine that is "too old and disgusting" to make money as a porn star now.

However, Stormy Daniels clapped back, tweeting back, Oh, Majorie! Bless your heart. In case you haven't noticed, tiny has a horse fetish. He's not going to f*ck you. Actually..... He might. Carry on. Get it, girl!"
