Donald Trump has now been arraigned and is back in Florida. However, the former president also gave a provocative speech targeting Alvin Bragg and the judge, but where is Melania Trump in all of this?

As soon as he got back home in Mar-a-Lago, the former president went after "failed" Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and called him a "criminal" for supposedly leaking "amounts of grand jury information." Trump added that he should be prosecuted or he should resign. He also targeted Bragg's wife for tweeting that the former president had been "nailed."

Trump also went after New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, who is the one responsible for overseeing the case. He questioned the judge because his daughter used to work for Vice President Kamala Harris, per The Independent.

However, Judge Merchan had already warned Trump to stop making threatening posts on social media that could inflame tensions or incite violence. This means that those incendiary comments made by Trump could backfire on the former president.

Melania Trump Not Seen Since Donald Trump Was Arrested

Meanwhile, many have pointed out that during Trump's speech, former First Lady Melania Trump was nowhere to be seen. While his adult sons, Don Jr. and Eric, were seen in the front row with their respective spouses, Melania and his favorite daughter, Ivanka, were absent during his speech.

Trump spoke about his family, but Melania was not mentioned at all. 

His alleged sexual encounter with Stormy Daniels was said to have happened after Melania had just given birth to their son, Barron.

"I built a great business with my family. Built a fantastic business. I have a son here who's done a great job. And I have another son here who's done a great job. And Tiffany. And Ivanka. And Barron will be great someday. He's tall, he is tall and he's smart, but I have a great family and they've done a fantastic job and we appreciated it very much," said the former president in his speech, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Alvin Bragg May Have a Strong Case Vs. Donald Trump

While many have criticized Bragg for going after the former president, after the charges have been unsealed, The New York Times pointed out that the Manhattan DA's case against Trump may be strong.

Trump is facing 11 counts for false invoices, 11 for false checks and check stubs, and 12 for false general ledger entries, all of which are felonies that allegedly violate the false records statute when various entries were made in business documents describing those repayments as legal fees.

Michael Cohen said he paid porn star Stormy Daniels to stay quiet about her affair with Donald Trump as the 2016 elections went on. In turn, Cohen got paid back by Trump in the guise of legal fees. Bragg stated that this violates state and federal election laws.

While Trump stated that prosecutors do not charge felony violations of the books and records statute and win convictions, the opposite is actually true, as there is precedent to having false entries in business records to conceal criminal activity.

In other words, there have been cases like this before, and they have all resulted in convictions. The only difference right now is that the defendant used to be the president of the United States.
