Missing Texas Boy Likely Dead Says Police; Mother Allegedly Described Him as 'Evil and Possessed'
The case of the missing Texas boy, 6-year-old Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, has now become an investigation into his possible death, according to police. The boy had been missing since March 20.
The toddler was from Everman in North Texas. Everman Police Chief Craig Spencer held a news conference and announced that police no longer considered Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez an endangered missing person and that investigators have determined that he is likely already dead.
"I'm incredibly saddened to share with you today that the search for Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez is now officially a death investigation," Spencer said in the news conference. "Based on the totality of the circumstances, along with the evidence available to us at this time, it has led to a very unfortunate, unimaginable, and devastating conclusion that Noel is likely deceased."
According to ABC-8, Noel's mother, Cindy Rodriguez-Singh, was abusive to the boy, and police have received information that she called him "evil, possessed, or having a demon in him."
Authorities confirmed that Noel does have severe health problems and sometimes requires oxygen to breathe normally.
Mother May Have Sold Missing Texas Boy
A search warrant affidavit was issued at the home of Noel's mother after new details about the case emerged that included several possible reasons for the boy's disappearance.
According to the warrant, the police were first contacted anonymously by a family member last month. CBS Texas reported that there were rumors that the missing Texas boy may have been sold by his abusive mother, while other rumors alleged that she had killed him already.

Investigators spoke with the brother of Cindy Rodriguez-Singh and Noel's uncle, who told police that Rodriguez-Singh admitted to their mother that she had already sold Noel to an unknown woman at Fiesta Market.
Noel's mother then claimed she could not contact the woman due to her fear of being reported to Child Protective Services (CPS). She reportedly did not give any details about when that possible sale happened or where in the Fiesta Market.
The missing child's uncle then noted that the child's mother told him not to give the boy any water because she did not want to change his diaper. The uncle also said that after he gave the boy some water, his mother was seen hitting the boy with keys on a lanyard.
The boy's mother is also missing, and federal agencies are now looking for her. It was noted that her husband's family lives in India.
Missing Texas Boy's Mother Previously Told CPS That Noel Was With His Biological Father in Mexico
Rodriguez-Singh had been on the radar of CPS for quite some time now, and on March 20, the day that the boy went missing, police went to her home for a welfare check. However, according to ABC-8, she told them that Noel went to Mexico to spend time with his biological father.
CPS investigated this claim and told police that they tracked down the father, who was deported to Mexico prior to Noel's birth. The father claimed that he had never met the boy, and CPS investigators say that they believe him.
