Donald Trump Urges Fox News to 'Admit' False 2020 Election Claims Ahead of Dominion Trial
Former President Donald Trump on Monday called on Fox News and its owner Rupert Murdoch to "admit" that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him and that there has been actual voter fraud.
Trump called Murdoch to support his baseless claims about the 2020 presidential election amid the company's Dominion lawsuit, worth $1.6 billion.
In a Truth Social post, the former president said Fox News is "in big trouble if they do not expose the truth on cheating" during the election in 2020, which he lost against President Joe Biden, USA Today reported.
Donald Trump went on to say that Murdoch should just say "he just didn't know." However, he contradicted the statement, saying, "But that is hard to believe." He then urged Murdoch to "just tell the truth, and good things will happen."
Fox News and its top executives are currently facing a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems, which claims that the conservative network defamed the company by repeatedly claiming, without evidence, election fraud claims involving their voting machines.

Fox News Dominion Lawsuit
Former Fox News producer Abby Grossberg said she recently found more evidence regarding the Dominion defamation lawsuit against her former employer.
NBC News reported that Grossberg intends to use it and turn it over to the court. Grossberg used to be a senior producer for hosts Maria Bartiromo and Tucker Carlson.
In a new sworn statement, she alleged that Fox lawyers ignored repeated reminders about a different cellphone in her possession and did not search it during court-ordered discovery.
Grossberg was fired in March. She filed a lawsuit claiming that the company's lawyers forced her into having misleading testimony in the Dominion case.
She further noted that she was being used as a scapegoat for the 2020 election coverage of Fox News. On the other hand, Fox News said she was fired for releasing privileged information.
Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric Davis recently admonished Fox lawyers for withholding evidence and not being straightforward with the court, adding that the company would have to foot the bill if an additional deposition was necessary.
Fox News 2020 Election
In February, Rupert Murdoch noted that some Fox News commentators endorsed the false allegations by Donald Trump and his allies about the 2020 election being stolen without supporting evidence.
Murdoch named some of the commentators he was referring such as Lou Dobbs, Bartiromo, Jeanine Pirro, and Sean Hannity, as the Associated Press News reported.
In September 2020, Murdoch urged that Dobbs be fired because he was "an extremist," according to the voting system company's court filing.
Murdoch added that he thought it was "really bad" for former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani to advise Trump as the former NYC mayor's "judgment was bad," along with having an "extreme partisan."
The Fox News owner was then asked if he could have asked Giuliani and Sidney Powell not to be put on the air, to which he responded, "I could have. But I didn't."
