Camilla's son, Tom Parker Bowles, has spoken ahead of King Charles' coronation next month, when his mother will also officially be crowned Queen of the United Kingdom.

New York Post reported that Parker Bowles addressed the "Not My King" protests, which may happen during the new monarch's coronation on May 6.

In a recent interview, he told the News Agents podcast that "everyone has the right to think what they want." He added that it is a free country, and citizens wanting to conduct a protest have the right to do so. 

The 48-year-old food critic noted that everyone is "allowed to have different views and I think that makes for an interesting and civilized country." Aside from the protests that might go down during the coronation, Parker Bowles also slammed the ceremony's menu.

The author of "Let's Eat: Recipes from my Kitchen Notebook" believes spices like chili and garlic should not be included in the special day's menu items.

He pointed out that garlic "can make your breath smell" while also noting that his mother is not fond of chili and "doesn't like massive spice."

Parker Bowles advised that if one is meeting a lot of people, it might be wise to be "a little bit careful and not to get the tummy too excited." He also criticized the coronation quiche, which was a fan-favorite coronation chicken.

The entrée might be making a guest appearance. Parker Bowles said the chicken coronation was "really horrible," believing it is too outdated to be served in modern times.

Camilla's Son Tom Parker Bowles on Mom Being Queen

Tom Parker Bowls said that King Charles and Camilla are doing "amazingly" in their roles as the new monarchs.

He noted that he believes it is only natural for his mother to be anxious when asked about Camilla's feelings about the coronation, ABC News Go reported.

Parker Bowles said he would be terrified if he had to walk "wearing ancient robes." He continued that his mother never complained and just did it.

Camilla's son also addressed claims that his mother played an "end game" to become a queen. He defended her and said she only married "the person she loved," according to the Independent.

Camilla and her ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, shared two children. Her youngest child is Laura Parker Bowles, 45.

King Charles Coronation

BBC News reported about the planned day-by-day happenings for King Charles' coronation, with May 5 being set for parades, crowds, and street parties.

Road closures will be imposed throughout central London while the rail services will be operated as usual. However, bus routes and schedules will have some changes.

On May 7, the day after the coronation procession, The Coronation Big Lunch will be held, with neighborhoods and communities nationwide being invited to share meals and have fun together.

The Coronation Concert will happen in the evening and can be watched through the live broadcast of BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2, and BBC Sounds. On the other hand, May 8 will be a bank holiday.
