Cause of Death of Florida Boy Taylen Mosley Found in Alligator's Mouth Revealed
A medical examiner has determined the cause of death of Taylen Mosley, the Florida boy who was found inside an alligator's mouth last month.
On Monday, St. Petersburg Police Department said an autopsy by the Pinellas County Medical Examiner determined that the 2-year-old boy had drowned following his mother's brutal murder.
The New York Post reported that the Florida boy's 20-year-old mom, Pashun Jeffery's was found stabbed over 100 times in the bathroom of her apartment at Lincoln Shores on March 30, and her son was missing.
Thomas Mosley, the 21-year-old father of the Florida boy, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his son and Jeffrey.
Thomas last appeared in court on Tuesday during a hearing to determine if prosecutors would be permitted to access his hospital records after he sought treatment for severe cuts on his arms.
The next hearing is set on May 5. Thomas has been detained without bail.

Florida Boy Taylen Mosley's Mother Murdered
Police noted that after a party celebrating the 21st birthday of the Florida boy's dad on March 29, Thomas Mosley stabbed Pashun Jeffery more than 100 times inside her St. Petersburg apartment.
He then took their 2-year-old son and put the toddler in a swampy lake less than a mile from his house. The Florida boy became the subject of an Amber Alert after being reported missing.
An affidavit noted that Thomas returned to his mother's house with severe cuts to his arms and hands similar to injuries "caused by slippage during a knife attack after leaving his son in the lake. The suspect was then admitted for treatment at a hospital in St. Petersburg.
Jeffery's great-aunt visited her the following day because she could not contact her. When no one answered after knocking on the door several times, she called the property manager, who entered the apartment. They then found Jeffery dead in the bathroom.
According to the affidavit, Thomas was linked to the crime scene after a bloody fingerprint on a cleaning bottle under a bed and a bloody Gucci shoeprint were found inside Jeffery's apartment.
Authorities Launched an All-Out Search for Florida Boy Taylen Mosley
The Florida boy was initially classified as "kidnapped," according to an Amber Alert notification. There was a significant police presence at the apartment after finding Pashun Jeffery's body.
Police investigated a blue Nissan apart from the victim's apartment to gather possible evidence. The K-9 unit of the Manatee County Sheriff's Office deployed a bloodhound to look for Taylen Mosley. The search was also aided by a police helicopter and numerous drones.
A police narcotics unit team was also observed inside the apartment. Authorities also checked out a reservoir close to where Jeffery's lived. They also removed a dumpster in search of clues.
Dive teams also searched the ponds and lakes near the St. Pete apartment for hours while looking for the Florida boy. The following day or on the evening of March 31, Taylen was found inside the jaws of an alligator in Lake Maggiore.
According to the affidavit, someone told authorities about seeing an alligator carrying something in its mouth. When they got closer, officers could see it was a boy. An officer then fatally shot the animal. Police reportedly found Taylen's body intact after they recovered his corpse.
