3 Texas Men Arrested for Killing Auto Mechanic Over Repair Bill
A Houston auto mechanic was killed over a $500 repair bill, and police said three Texas men had been arrested over his death.
The arrest came four months after 29-year-old victim Luis Casillas was shot and killed in the parking lot of his body shop off the North Freeway and West Little York Road in Houston.
The Houston Police Department said Wednesday that three people had been arrested in connection with the December 23, 2022 shooting.
Police said they were brothers Raudel Orozco, 20, and Rolando Orozco, 22, as well as Jody Duron, 19. All three were arrested Tuesday and were charged with murder for the death of Casillas.
According to ABC13, the three Texas men are being held inside the Harris County jail, each on a $750,000 bond. The arrests came after a months-long investigation that linked the three suspects to the scene.

Texas Men Shot and Killed Mechanic Who Was Billing Them for Repairing a Truck
Luis Casillas, who was a husband and father of two daughters, had a car repair shop in Texas. He fixed a truck and billed the owner $500 for the service.
However, according to Fox News, the owner came with five other men and refused to pay. They soon became aggressive, with Casillas telling the men, three of them were Hispanic, to leave with the truck.
However, witnesses, including his family, said the suspects chased him before shooting him in the head. Police spoke with Casillas' brother, who told them that the victim had been arguing with the vehicle's owner over the money owed for the repairs.
That was when Casillas told his brother to move the truck to a garage or bay across from the shop so the owner could not take it back without paying.
On the day of the shooting, the suspects went into the parking garage and got into an argument with the victim, which escalated to one of the suspects, later identified as the red pickup's owner, pulling out an AK-47-style rifle and starting shooting at Casillas.
Casillas tried to run away but was confronted by another suspect at the end of the building. Witnesses said the victim even begged for his life, but he was still shot.
Court documents said the suspects immediately fled the scene in their vehicles and with the red Chevy pickup. Authorities did not immediately say who among those arrested was the pickup's owner.
Houston Auto Mechanic Would Have Used Money to Buy Daughters' Gifts for Christmas
Luis Casillas' killing devastated his family, who said he was planning to use that $500 to buy his two daughters some Christmas gifts.
"He was a father, a son, a brother, an uncle," said Sandy Casillas, Luis' sister. "He didn't deserve this."
She noted that her brother begged the men not to kill him and even offered that they could take whatever they wanted. Still, the three men shot and killed him and took off with the truck.
His sister told KHOU-11 that his children were still too young to fully comprehend what had happened to their father. However, they were still able to open their presents on Christmas.
"Santa showed up, but Daddy didn't," Sandy said. "We don't have a holiday no more - we don't know what the holidays are no more."
