As his civil rape trial was going on, Donald Trump was in Ireland playing golf. However, he also vowed to go to New York and confront E. Jean Carroll, his accuser. This would contradict his lawyer Joe Tacopina's earlier statements to the judge that his client would not testify.

Trump called the former Elle magazine columnist a "disgrace" while playing a round of golf in Ireland on Thursday. He then told reporters that he would be flying back to New York to confront her before launching into a four-minute tirade against his accuser.

Politico reported that Trump was also asked if he was willing to testify before the court to defend himself against all the rape and sexual misconduct allegations thrown against him. He reportedly left the possibility open, though he has already provided a taped deposition that was already presented in court.

Trump attorney Joe Tacopina had already told Judge Lewis Kaplan that his controversial client would not be testifying in court.

Trump Carroll "a fake" and even went after Judge Kaplan as well, calling him a "rough judge," who had been "appointed by Bill Clinton." He also stated that he was the victim of "false accusations against a rich guy. Or in my case against a famous, rich, and political person that's leading the polls by 40 points."

After Trump's recent comments that he might testify, Judge Kaplan stated that he is giving the former president only until Sunday to decide whether or not he would be testifying.

Donald Trump Says He Mistook E. Jean Carroll for His Ex-Wife, Marla Maples

While he was golfing and talking to reporters on an Irish golf course, his own rape trial continued over in New York, During the trial, they showed a video deposition of Trump where he made a clear mistake.

According to BBC, the former president was shown a picture of him talking to several people at an event. He was pointed to one woman, and he said, "It's Marla." However, one of his lawyers quickly corrected him, saying, "No, that's Carroll."

Trump had denied even meeting Carroll until a photo of them together surfaced. He also tried to say that he would not rape Carroll because she was not his type. However, Carroll's lawyers took advantage of this confusion on Trump's part, saying that this undermined the former president's assertion that she was not his type.

Donald Trump Repeatedly Insulted E. Jean Carroll Throughout Deposition

While Trump was infamous for pleading the fifth amendment in his depositions, the former president was a bit more open and candid in this one as he insulted Carroll, as well as two other accusers.

NBC News reported that Trump called Carroll a "whack job" and "sick," as well as a slew of other insults. He also denied all her allegations, saying that he was "offended at this woman's lie."

He also went after Carroll's two witnesses, retired stockbroker Jessica Leeds and former People magazine writer Natasha Stoynoff, mocking them both during his deposition. He said that Leeds' allegations were "ridiculous" and called Stoynoff's claims "a phony charge."
