Enrique Iglesias Songs: Top 5
Enrique Iglesias has many songs that reached the top of the charts. Here are five of the best, though it should be noted that these songs are not in order.
'Hero'
"Hero" is perhaps one of Enrique Iglesias' most unforgettable songs, as it felt genuine and truly heartfelt from the singer. It was released in 2001, shortly after 9/11, and it helped soothe a grieving nation after the horrors of that terrorist attack.
According to Billboard, the English version peaked at #3 on the English charts, and its Spanish version, "Heroe," topped the Latin charts. This Enrique Iglesias song remains one of his most powerful and significant ballads.
'Bailamos'
When you say Enrique Iglesias, the one song that might come first to your mind is "Bailamos." This classic is a record-breaking masterpiece for the Spanish singer, as it topped the Spanish Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100.
The song also served as part of the soundtrack for the Will Smith film, "Wild Wild West." However, while the movie flopped, the song rose to the charts and was touted for its legendary status as one of Iglesias' best.
'Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song)'
In its Spanish version, the song is known as "Dimelo." This mid-tempo synth-pop number took the world by storm. According to Chaospin, it was the first single from Enrique Iglesias' eighth album, "Insomniac," and soon became number one on US Billboard Latin Songs.
As for its subtitle, it was also called "The Ping Pong Song" because it used the sound of a ping pong ball bouncing. The Spanish-Filipino singer also performed the song during "Dancing With The Stars."
'Dirty Dancer'
This Enrique Iglesias song also featured R&B legend Usher and rapper Lil' Wayne as part of the Latino singer's sixth album, "Euphoria." It was a club banger that talked about a beautiful and dangerous woman. Its music video has been viewed over 130 million times on YouTube and has even topped the US dance charts.
'I Like It'
"I Like It" is one of the best Enrique Iglesias songs he collaborated with rapper Pit Bull. It blended Spanish and English and was a nod to Lionel Richie's "All Night Long (All Night)." It won the Winning Song at the 2012 BMI Latin Awards and reached the Top 10 in the US charts.
