Ja Morant Sneakers Gone from Nike Website Amid Gun Scandal
Ja Morant was supposed to have his sneaker line with Nike after they replaced Kyrie Irving with the Memphis Grizzlies Guard. That may not be happening anymore, as Nike has seemingly canceled its release amid the NBA star's most recent gun controversy.
According to TMZ Sports, Nike may have already pulled the Ja 1 athletic shoes that were released back in April from their official online store, as the shoes were nowhere to be seen following his already-second Instagram gun incident.
The sneakers were reported missing since Thursday, as well as a few Ja Morant-related items. However, there were still a few of the Memphis Grizzlies guard's T-shirts available on the Nike online store.
It was also pointed out that a new mismatched "hunger" colorway scheduled for release on May 25 is still listed as "upcoming" in Nike's SNKRS app. Other retailers, such as Dick's Sporting Goods and Flight Club, still have the Nike Ja 1 Sneakers on sale.
This is already the second incident that saw the NBA star be suspended for flashing a gun on Instagram Live. He previously flashed a pistol inside a strip club in Denver, and it saw him get suspended for eight games last March.
NBA May Give Ja Morant a More 'Significant' Suspension
The last time Ja Morant flashed a gun on Instagram Live, it cost him an eight-game suspension. This time, however, the league may give him a much more "severe" penalty, according to Fastbreak.
The Grizzlies have already suspended their star guard from all team activities for the offseason, and the NBA's more "severe" punishment would also be added to that.

So far, the league is still investigating the matter, with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver admitting that he was shocked by the news.
Despite his pro-gun tendencies, however, many are questioning why the National Rifle Association (NRA) still has not come to his rescue and defended his right to bear arms. Many have pointed out that this may be because he is black.
Ja Morant Says He Takes Full Responsibility For Flashing Gun Again
Following his latest gun scandal, however, the Memphis Grizzlies star guard seems to be owning up to his mistakes and is taking full responsibility for it, according to Bleacher Report.
"I know I've disappointed a lot of people who have supported me," said Ja Morant in a statement. "This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I'm committed to continuing to work on myself."
The statement reportedly came after Adam Silver released his own statement on the issue at hand. The NBA commissioner reportedly said that while the video appeared to be grainy, they have already assumed the worst.
However, the statement released by Morant echoed his previous apology during his first gun flashing incident, where he also stated that he was sorry and also took responsibility for his actions.
