However, the White House promptly assured the public that the president was unharmed, attributing the fall to tripping over a sandbag.

Earlier in the day, President Biden delivered the commencement address at the Air Force Academy. While interacting with guests on stage, the mishap occurred, but White House spokesman Ben LaBolt reassured everyone via a tweet that the president was okay. The presence of a sandbag on stage during the incident was noted.

It is worth noting that President Biden, aged 80, was informed by his doctor earlier this year about degenerative osteoarthritic abnormalities that pose challenges for him in walking freely.

The most recent physical examination indicates that there have been no significant changes in the president's condition, although it notes the possibility of tighter hamstrings and calves.

Addressing the issue of his age, which political opponents have used to question his ability to serve a second term, President Biden humorously referred to his graduation from high school during his commencement address.

"When I was graduating from high school 300 years ago, I applied to the Naval Academy," he quipped, eliciting laughter from the audience.

While emphasizing the importance of U.S. support for its allies and partners, as well as ongoing assistance for Ukraine, Biden cautioned the U.S. Air Force Academy graduates about the ever-changing nature of the world they are entering.

President Joe Biden highlighted the challenges the cadets will face due to the proliferation of global threats, such as Russia's invasion of Ukraine, China's geopolitical competitiveness, climate change, and the advancement of artificial intelligence.

He praised the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian people, underscoring that America's commitment to supporting democracies remains unwavering.

The audience responded with applause as Biden declared, "The American people's support for Ukraine will not waiver. We always stand up for democracies, always."
