Renowned singer Michael Grimm, who rose to fame as the winner of "America's Got Talent" in 2010, has been admitted to the hospital and placed under sedation for the past week, as revealed in a heartfelt Facebook post by his wife, Lucie Zolcerova-Grimm, saying that he was on a ventilator until June 6, his current condition is reported to be stable, according to E! Online.

Lucie disclosed that the 44-year-old artist has been grappling with health issues and experiencing a notable decline in energy over the past few months.

Despite seeking medical attention and undergoing evaluations, doctors have been unable to pinpoint the exact nature of his condition.

"On Memorial Day, it kind of took him over," Lucie shared, recounting the alarming progression of Michael's symptoms. His appearance became increasingly gaunt, and he faced challenges in responding promptly, walking steadily, and raising his head.

Concerned about his deteriorating state, Lucie swiftly rushed him to the emergency room. She recalled that he began uttering unintelligible words and displayed physical tremors.

Michael has spent the last week receiving intensive care in the hospital's ICU. Lucie explained, "For the safety of his health, they had to put him on a ventilator and sedate him pretty heavily so that he wouldn't stroke out, so he wouldn't flatline."

Michael Grimm's June, July Shows Canceled

Amid ongoing medical investigations into Michael Grimm's mysterious illness, his wife, Lucie, decided to cancel his scheduled performances in June and July, urging fans to show understanding and patience during this challenging time, per Deadline.

Lucie shared an update, revealing that Michael Grimm is still in a state of unconsciousness and will require physical therapy due to being bedridden for over a week.

The singer currently lacks his voice and will need vocal cord repair because of his time on the ventilator. Additionally, his organs and muscles need to regain functionality, while his mental well-being is another crucial aspect of his recovery. Lucie acknowledged that this process may take some time.

Expressing her emotional and physical exhaustion, Lucie draws solace from the presence of an exceptional team of medical professionals attending to Michael's care, ET Online reports.

Because of his condition, his scheduled shows in Las Vegas for June and the Fourth of July in Arizona have been postponed.

Lucie remains hopeful for her husband's recovery, refraining from canceling any August plans at this stage, allowing for the possibility that Michael may sufficiently recuperate by then.

Michael Grimm's Career

Michael Grimm, whose life was deeply impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina as his grandparents lost everything, embarked on a remarkable journey when he entered the highly acclaimed television competition "America's Got Talent" in 2010. His heartfelt goal was to secure enough funds to help his grandparents find a new home, said the Daily Mail.

In a stunning turn of events, Grimm achieved an unexpected victory, surpassing the favored 10-year-old opera singer, Jackie Evancho, in the final round. Expressing his disbelief, the triumphant singer confessed, "I thought Jackie had it in the bag," as he was awarded the coveted $1 million prize.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Grimm addressed the audience, sharing, "My grandparents don't have to worry about anything anymore. I can't put into words what that means to me. They've supported me in music through the years and seen me fall, get back up, and keep going. Now I can take care of them."

The moment's significance was not lost on him as he added, "This is an out-of-body experience. This whole journey has been, but especially now."
