Rumors are saying that sparks are flying between Colombian music icon Shakira and British Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton. They are currently in the "early stages" of dating, says a source.

The pair was reportedly spotted having a "series of public outings" together after meeting at the Miami Grand Prix. A source told PEOPLE magazine that they are keeping things "fun and flirty."

"They're spending time together and in the 'getting to know you' stage," said the source after Shakira was recently spotted back in Barcelona attending the F1 Spanish Grand Prix. She was seen again after the big race, this time hanging out with Lewis Hamilton in the city she once called home.

Shakira lived in Barcelona for over a decade with then-partner Gerard Pique, who used to play for FC Barcelona. After an agreement over the custody of their two kids, Sasha and Milan, the Colombian moved out of Barcelona and is now living in Miami with her kids. Since the move, she has been linked to several other men, including Tom Cruise and Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler.

What Happened Between Shakira and Lewis Hamilton in Barcelona?

While Lewis Hamilton was in Barcelona for the F1 Spanish Grand Prix, Shakira was definitely not there for ex Gerard Pique. The Mercedes driver finished second in the race, with Shakira soon being spotted hanging out with him after it wrapped up.

According to People Magazine, she and Hamilton were not alone after the race, however, as they were spotted hanging out with some of Shakira's friends, including Daniel Caesar, Fai Khadra, and Mustafa the Poet.

The latter of the group shared a photo on Instagram of them hanging out together after the big race. That photo featured the Mercedes driver with a hand around Shakira's waist while everyone enjoyed some cocktails.

Shakira was first spotted with the Brit last month, during the Formula One Miami Grand Prix. However, she was also seen chatting with "Mission Impossible" and "Top Gun: Maverick" actor Tom Cruise during that same event, and it took the spotlight off what may have been a spark between the Colombian and the British racer.

Shakira's Relationship Rumors with Lewis Hamilton

Shakira and Lewis Hamilton have been friends for a long time, though there was not much going on between the two since they met again at the Miami Grand Prix last month.

"People don't know how many friends Shakira has and how many of them are famous, they would be surprised," said a source during a recent interview. The source also stated that she is neither dating Tom Cruise nor Jimmy Butler.

However, Marca pointed out that neither she nor the Mercedes driver have confirmed nor denied that they are in a relationship, although the two have been noted to be "sending strange messages through their social media channels" regarding each other.

Nonetheless, Shakira showing up in the city, where she used to live with her ex, in support of a rumored new boyfriend does raise a few eyebrows.
