Eva Longoria Reveals Shocking 'Misogynistic' Experience from Hollywood Exec
Eva Longoria appeared on Andy Cohen's show, "Watch What Happens Live," and sure enough, she was asked some very "spicy" questions. There, the actress revealed she faced some misogyny and a bit of racism from a Hollywood executive.
According to TooFab, the "Desperate Housewives" actress played "Plead the Fifth" with Cohen on his show as she joined fellow actress Gabrielle Union on the set. The rules of the game were simple and Cohen would ask three questions, and she can only "Plead the Fifth" once.
Cohen turned the heat up on the first question, as he asked the Latina actress, "What is the most misogynistic note you've ever received from a Hollywood executive?"
To this, the "Dora the Explorer" actress answered, "Oh yeah, 'Could you do that more spicy?' when I was on 'Young and the Restless'." She then clarified that the executive asked her to be "more Latin-y and spicy," to which Longoria admitted that she actually did not understand what he meant by that.
This took Andy Cohen aback a little as he commented, "Wow, that's also a little racist," before moving on with his second question, which was even spicier. "In 2019 you penned a letter of support for your friend Felicity Huffman and recounted a time on 'Desperate Housewives' where she stood up for you to another co-worker who was bullying you. Who was the co-worker and how were you being bullied?" he asked.
Eva Longoria immediately "Pleaded the Fifth" and admitted she was now scared of what the third and final question might be. To which, Cohen asked, "You are best pals with Victoria Beckham. You're godmother to two of her kids, Harper and Cruz, What is your least favorite Spice Girls song?"
Eva Longoria looked relieved a bit and stated that she loved all the Spice Girls and joked that she is "Spicy Spice" so she is one of them.

Eva Longoria Talks About Her Time in 'Desperate Housewives'
According to Yahoo! Entertainment, ET recently aired a "Retrospective" episode about "Desperate Housewives." There, Eva Longoria talked about the series and the "age gap" between her and actor Jesse Metcalfe, who was playing her teenage gardener, John.
Metcalfe was 25 at the time of shooting, and he was playing a 16-year-old. Meanwhile, Longoria was 27 at that time and she was playing a 40-year-old housewife. "So Jesse and I were actually the same age so we didn't feel weird, but it was definitely much better chemistry and better for the story than it was Jesse," she explained.
The actress also revealed that they originally cast a much younger actor to play John who really looked 16. This was eventually changed.
