OceanGate Implosion: MrBeast Admits He Was Invited To Join Titanic Sub
Popular YouTuber and philanthropist MrBeast could have been part of that catastrophic OceanGate implosion as he admitted he was invited to join a submarine trip. However, he admitted that he declined to join the expedition, and the hindsight behind the ill-fated tour of the Titanic wreck that resulted in the deaths of five people, including some very well-known billionaires, scared him.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, admitted on social media that he received a text message from someone, inviting him to join a submarine expedition. However, the YouTuber declined, saying, "I was invited earlier this month to ride the Titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it."
It is uncertain if that invitation was for OceanGate's trip to the Titanic; though the screenshot of the text that he received showed that the texter wrote, "Also, I'm going to the Titanic in a submarine late this month," adding that "The team would be stoked to have you along."
An investigation has been launched into the OceanGate implosion, which killed OceantGate CEO and the submarine's pilot Stockton Rush, as well as passengers that included billionaire British businessman Hamish Harding, billionaire Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son, Suleman, and French diver and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeole, and according to CNN.
Officials Probing Missing Titanic Submarine's Voice Recording To Find Possible Criminality
Canadian officials are now saying that they will examine the voice recordings and other data from the missing titanic submersible's mothership, the Polar Prince. They are trying to find out if any criminality happened.
Transportation Safety Board of Canada investigators recently visited the Polar Prince last Saturday to collect information. TSB Chairwoman Kathy Fox recently spoke with CNN and stated that they want to find out what happened and "what needs to change to reduce the chance or the risk of such occurrences in the future."

She added that the voice recordings from the submersible "could be useful in our investigation." However, she did admit that the investigation's purpose was not to point blame for the sub's implosion. Canadian authorities are trying to determine whether the case warrants a criminal investigation at the moment.
"Such an investigation will proceed only if our examination of the circumstances indicate criminal, federal or provincial laws may possibly have been broken," said Royal Canadian Mounted Police Superintendent Kent Osmond during a press conference last Saturday.
Missing Titanic Sub Was 'Turned to Dust'
Submarine expert Ofer Ketter explained that the depths where the sub imploded are unforgiving and that the vessel was simply "turned to dust."
In an interview, he said, "To me, it makes absolute sense that the chamber, the pressure chamber where the passengers are sitting in, did not withstand the pressure because of the material that it was built on."
He added, "And that is exactly what imploded and turned to dust. Everything else that was either made of titanium or perhaps other steels, survived, and that's what was found."
As for the victims, he said, "They never knew it happened which is actually very positive in this very negative situation," according to Ketter.
