Donald Trump Election Probe: Jack Smith Grilled Rudy Giuliani About 'Shouting Match' That Included Sidney Powell
Former Donald Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani recently spoke to Jack Smith willingly regarding their efforts to overturn the election, and it has come out that he talked about Sidney Powell and a "shouting match" that happened as they were plotting to keep Trump in power.
This was part of the special counsel's bigger probe regarding the events leading to January 6. This includes Trump's election meddling in several key battleground states, his pressure campaign on Mike Pence to overturn the election results, and his inciting of his supporters to besiege the Capitol.
According to The Independent, Giuliani is likely to be one of Jack Smith's eventual targets for criminal indictments should the Department of Justice decide to move forward with the case. However, during the interview, the former New York City mayor spoke about a chaotic December 2020 meeting.
During that meeting that happened at Trump's now-shuttered DC hotel, members of the ex-POTUS's so-called "War Room" clashed as some were pushing for Mike Pence to interfere in the certification of Joe Biden's victory, while some were firmly opposing it.
The infamous "Kraken" lawyer, Sidney Powell, who is known to push conspiracy theories without evidence, presented her case about the military seizing voting machines in that meeting, and it prompted a "shouting match." Donald Trump then asked Giuliani to try and mediate the discussion.
Giuliani's testimony might prove important to the case because if he flips on Donald Trump, it could mean trouble for the former president. He may also receive immunity from whatever criminal acts are described in the session should his statements be found truthful.
Jack Smith May Be Targeting Donald Trump Lawyers Like Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell
The people involved in that meeting included not just Giuliani and Powell but also Powell's colleague, Emily Newman, and Republican operative Mike Roman. Subpoenas have already been issued for both of them.

It is notable because Giuliani was mostly grilled about the actions of other Trump lawyers regarding that eight-hour meeting. He was not only questioned about Powell but also lawyer John Eastman who was the one responsible for devising the fake electors scheme, as well as the plot to have Mike Pence undermine the elections, according to Yahoo! Finance.
This might mean that Jack Smith is now also going after Donald Trump's former attorneys, as he did for the classified documents case where he got a Trump attorney to admit that the ex-POTUS lied to him about handing over the classified documents.
Jack Smith Preparing to Hand Out More Charges Against Former President Donald Trump
Radar Online reported that Jack Smith may be considering adding more charges against Donald Trump and his allies.
Trump was previously hit with a 37-count indictment in connection to his ordering classified documents to be hidden from authorities after he illegally took them from the White House after leaving office. The DOJ has now found new evidence against Trump and his allies, and this might mean that Smith might file a "superseding indictment."
Jack Smith might add around 30-45 new charges against Trump regarding the classified documents case.
