The El Paso Walmart shooting suspect, Patrick Crusius, 24, finally faced justice after specifically targeting Latinos in one of the worst racist attacks in US and Texas history.

Crusius, an avid white supremacist, will be spending the rest of his life in prison after he was given 90 consecutive life sentences, according to the El Paso Times. He pleaded guilty to 90 federal charges earlier this year, and each of those charges resulted in one life sentence.

The El Paso mass shooter killed 23 people in an El Paso Walmart on August 3, 2019. He also injured dozens of others as he sought out any Hispanic person to kill to stop what he believes is a Latino invasion of the United States.

Senior US District Judge David C. Guaderrama ruled that Crusius will be serving all 90 life sentences consecutively at the infamous ADX Florence supermax near Florence, Colorado. This is where the infamous Sinaloa Cartel founder Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is currently being held, as well as Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Oklahoma City bomber Terry Nichols.

It is not known if he will be sent to the infamous prison immediately or if he will be staying at the El Paso County Jail in the meantime. He still has another case with the state of Texas that has not been resolved yet. Unlike his federal case, however, a death sentence is still a possibility.

Texas Walmart Shooting Victims' Family Confront Shooter Patrick Crusius

After the sentence against the mass shooter was handed out, several of the survivors, as well as the families of those he killed confronted Patrick Crusius as they had some very strong words for him.

One of the groups who got caught in the white supremacist's rampage was a girls' soccer team that was just fundraising at that El Paso Walmart. Genesis Davila, who was 12 years old at that time, survived the mass shooting and confronted Crusius. According to Reuters, she reportedly looked directly at Crusius and told him, "I want you dead." before adding, "I hate you so much. Hell has a special place for you."

Others were just relieved, however, including Francisco Javier Rodriguez, who lost his son, Javier Amir Rodriguez. He lamented that nothing can bring his son back but commented that it is good now that it is over.

Raul Moya, who lost his brother in the attack, had a more forgiving tone, telling the shooter, "I've tried so bad to forgive what you've done, it's been hard. I hope God forgives you for what you've done."

Who is Patrick Crusius?

The El Paso Walmart shooter Patrick Crusius had an affluent upbringing, growing up in an upper-class suburb in Dallas, Texas. He traveled several hours just to shoot Latinos all the way to El Paso which has one of the highest Latino populations in the US.

He is the son of a licensed therapist and a nurse, according to the Associated Press. However, with the rise of Donald Trump, he became consumed with the immigration debate and supporting then-President Donald Trump's hardline border policies, often tweeting #BuildtheWall.

Just 20 minutes before his rampage, he posted on an online message board that the shooting was "in response to the Hispanic invasion of Texas." Many believe he was radicalized by Republican rhetoric, with members of the party often downplaying the radicalizing effect of their words.
