Powerball Jackpot Increases to $650 Million: When Is the Next Draw?
The Powerball jackpot has reached an impressive $650 million for the upcoming drawing on Monday, according to ABC 6.
This substantial increase in the jackpot amount came after no ticket matched all the winning numbers in the Saturday drawing, according to a statement released by the lottery.
Should a lucky individual secure the winning combination, they would have received an estimated cash prize of $328.2 million before any applicable taxes.
This amount would rank as the ninth-largest Powerball jackpot in history and the second-largest recorded in 2023, as stated by Powerball officials in a press release.
The winning numbers for the previous drawing held on Saturday were 7, 23, 24, 32, and 42, with a Powerball number of 18.
While no participant claimed the jackpot, three fortunate California, Colorado, and Illinois ticket holders successfully matched all five white balls, entitling them to a generous $1 million prize.
As eager participants await the next Powerball draw, scheduled for Monday, July 10, it is worth noting that the Powerball jackpot has remained elusive since the April 19 drawing, where an Ohio ticket holder secured the grand prize worth an impressive $252.6 million.
The subsequent 34 drawings have failed to produce a jackpot winner, according to the lottery's report.

Powerball Jackpot Draw
Powerball drawings occur three times a week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 pm Eastern Time.
While the allure of winning the Powerball jackpot may be enticing, it is essential to consider the odds.
The chances of winning any of the nine available prizes in Powerball are 1 in 29. However, the odds of hitting the jackpot stand at a staggering 1 in 292.2 million, WNTC 9 noted.
Despite suggestions such as playing specific numbers or buying multiple tickets to improve one's odds, experts emphasize that every participant's probability of winning remains the same.
Powerball is a widely played lottery game accessible in 45 states across the United States, as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Each ticket costs $2 per play, allowing individuals to test their luck and potentially claim one of the appealing prizes.
Mega Millions Jackpot Hits Almost Half a Billion Dollars
Following the absence of a jackpot-winning ticket in Friday's drawing, the Mega Millions jackpot has surged to an estimated $480 million, positioning it as the 14th largest prize in the history of the popular lottery game, per NBC News.
The eagerly anticipated drawing for the substantial prize money is scheduled for Tuesday.
This upcoming draw will mark the 24th consecutive roll since the jackpot was last claimed on April 18 in New York.
Notably, the beginning of the year witnessed a remarkable streak of six jackpot winners within a span of fewer than four months.
The first significant prize of the year amounted to an impressive $1.348 billion. It was won on January 13 in Maine, ranking as the second-largest prize in Mega Millions history.
Shortly after that, on January 17, a lucky individual from New York secured a $20 million jackpot in the subsequent drawing.
The combination of the current Powerball jackpot and Mega Millions jackpot has created an extraordinary total prize pool of over $1.1 billion in these two highly popular lottery contests.
