Taylor Swift Vs. Ticketmaster Starts Again After More Botched Ticket Sales
The Swifties' ordeal with Ticketmaster has now gone international as the ticket sales giant once again botched a Taylor Swift Eras Tour ticket sale, this time in Europe, where Tay-Tay is scheduled to perform in France next summer.
With the news of Taylor Swift's French performance, French fans queued up on Ticketmaster's website on Tuesday morning. However, many were soon disappointed after the company suddenly paused sales events to several performances in the music star's French stops.
Following this latest debacle, the ticketing company immediately released a statement, saying, "Some of you might encounter problems with the website this morning - we are working on it and will keep you updated."
About an hour later, Ticketmaster paused the ticket sales events for concerts that were scheduled to take place at Paris La Défense Arena, according to CNN. French Swifties quickly bombarded the French Ticketmaster Twitter account demanding answers, with some of them complaining that they had been waiting in queue for hours.
Taylor Swift fans have been frustrated with Ticketmaster since the site first crashed in November. This led to multiple lawsuits against the ticketing giant, with US lawmakers even investigating the company on whether it has a monopoly over ticket sales.
Ticketmaster Blames 'Third Party' for Taylor Swift Eras Tour France Debacle
According to CBS News, TicketMaster's French Taylor Swift sales problems were being blamed on a "third-party provider," with the ticketing giant saying Eras ticket sales had been "disrupted by an issue with a third-party provider."
Demand to see Taylor Swift perform live was so high in France that Swifties had to enter a lottery to get a code to purchase tickets. This meant that some fans queued up for hours just for the opportunity to see her perform live.

Meanwhile, back in the US, Taylor Swift is continuing her Eras tour, with several young performers opening for her in these high-demand concerts. One of these is Gayle, who is opening several shows for Swift. She recently talked to PEOPLE magazine about her experience.
She said that Tay-Tay gifted the entire team with gold tag necklaces engraved with the words "The Eras Tour."
The 19-year-old singer then admitted that the singer is "like a big sister" to her, adding, "When you're in music, there's so many unknowns and there's so many stresses. I'm a perfectionist, and not everything is going to be perfect all the time. There's definitely been times where I've been able to talk about my insecurities and my fears and she's been a very comforting person."
