Air Jordan Release Dates August - September 2013: List of Sneakers to Drop this Month
Basketball fans and sneaker geeks would be happy to find out that Air Jordan has a lot of fiery kicks scheduled for release this month.
Air Jordan, the brand designed, owned and produced by Nike and Michael Jordan, has been among the leading basketball sneaker brands since its inception in 1984, when MJ wore it as a rookie. Almost two decades after, and the brand is still as strong as ever; even becoming a center of attraction for collectors.
Continuously releasing retro versions of the first batches of the Air Jordan sneakers, the brand will again be releasing several more before the end of August. Check out the list of AJ's to hit the stores below:
Air Jordan 5 Retro Quick Strike (QS)
Initially released in 1990, the retried sneaks will make a comeback as it gets another release date with another color range. According to Sole Collector, the sneakers will arrive on Saturday, August 24; and as part of the "Fear" Pack, it will come in a "sequoia, fire red, medium olive and black colorway."
Retailing for $160, the limited edition shoes will only be available in men's sizes.
Air Jordan 1 Retro '89
One of the most famous looks of an AJ sneaker would be the Air Jordan 1, and this coming Saturday, a retroed version of the shoes will again be released. Following the original color scheme of the AJ 4, the Air Jordan 1 Retro '89 will feature a "white-based leather upper with cement grey and black accents," Sole Collector writes.
The show also comes in another color scheme: black/ white-green/ cement grey
It will retail for $130 in select stores around the world.
Air Jordan 5 Retro
Making a comeback is AJ 5 in original color way: White/ Fire Red-Black. But according to Sole Collector, the sneakers dropping in August 31 could be missing one distinct characteristic: "If the leaked catalog photo is any indication, this pair could be dropping without its famous "23" embroidery on the heel for the first time."
The shoe will be retailed for $160 and will be available in almost all Nike stores.
