After getting demolished by the Angels, New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo finally broke his home run drought, and it's all thanks to Taylor Swift.

The Yankees star decided to change his walk-up song to a Taylor Swift hit to change things up a bit. However, this resulted in a home run and two RBI in his game against the Kansas City Royals on Sunday.

During the post-game press conference, Anthony Rizzo spoke with Awful Announcing and talked about what really helped him get that home run.

"Taylor Swift, it's her summer, really," said the Yankees star. "She's helping the economy in every city she goes."

According to Clutch Points, he has been struggling since May and has not hit a home run since. However, when he did hit the drought-breaking homer, his teammates gave him the silent treatment, which is a tradition in the MLB when a player hits his first home run in the league.

The Yankees have struggled offensively since star Aaron Judge got injured. The team now needs this spark from Anthony Rizzo to get them back in playoff contention.

Taylor Swift Debuts a New Song

As for the reason for Rizzo's drought being broken, Taylor Swift is currently continuing her Eras Tour. She recently had a stop at Seattle's Lumen Field on Saturday, July 22, where she held the first-ever live performance of her new Evermore song "No Body, No Crime" with Haim.

The music superstar brought out longtime friends the Haim sisters during her Seattle stop and they helped her perform the song. The performance with the sisters came after the siblings invited Tay-Tay to help perform "Gasoline" and "Love Story" at London's O2 Arena last year. She has been working with the sisters since her 1989 World Tour and has been regularly collaborating with them since.

While it made its debut in December 2020, Billboard noted that this was the first time "No Body, No Crime" was performed in front of a live audience. The song will be replacing "Tis the Damn Season" during the Evermore portion of Swift's usual Eras Tour setlist.

Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West Feud Not Yet Over?

As Taylor Swift continues her Eras Tour, however, she seems to have taken a veiled shot at Kanye West who infamously interrupted her acceptance speech at the VMA Awards 14 years ago, setting off one of the most infamous celebrity feuds out there.

During her Seattle stop, Tay-Tay performed "This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things," which is inspired by Kanye's 2016 phone call to her. It reportedly gave the singer a heads up about the release of the rapper's song, "Famous," which included the lyric, "I made that b*tch famous."

Taylor Swift reportedly started laughing after she sang the lyrics, "Cause forgiveness is the nice thing to do." After laughing very hard, she admitted to the audience, I can barely say it with a straight face" before continuing to play.

The crowd went into an uproar with that shot at Ye, according to TMZ.
