In the northern Mexico border city of San Luis Rio Colorado, authorities in the state of Sonora reported a tragic incident where eleven people lost their lives in a suspected arson attack at a bar, according to Tasnim News Agency.
The alleged Mexico bar arson occurred in the early hours of Saturday when a highly intoxicated young male, expelled from the bar earlier for disrespectful behavior towards women, returned and set the establishment ablaze with a Molotov cocktail.
The assailant deliberately targeted the bar's doors with an incendiary device, leading to the deadly blaze.
The state prosecutors are investigating the incident, and the suspect was subsequently apprehended by the police on Saturday afternoon, providing some relief to the grieving community.

Security camera footage captured the suspect driving his truck to the bar's entrance, where he extracted gasoline from his vehicle and poured it around the entrance before using a blowtorch to set the fire.

The statement from the Sonora State Attorney General's Office reiterates that no one is above the law in Sonora.
