Ben Shapiro Burns Barbie Dolls After Hate-Watching ‘Barbie’ Movie, Gets Roasted by the Internet
Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro tried to paint the "Barbie" film as "woke" feminist propaganda and he tried to make his point by burning some Barbie dolls. Instead, all he got is getting roasted on the internet, with people pointing out that he was dressed like Ken while going on his 43-minute tirade about the movie.
In a tweet, the Daily Wire co-founder stated that his producers "dragged" him to watch "Barbie" and called the film "one of the most woke movies I have ever seen." This prompted the first wave of memes as Twitter users pointed out that he was wearing a black T-shirt with black pants, the same exact outfit that Ryan Gosling wore as Ken during a musical performance.
"My brother in Christ. You are wearing a Ken cosplay," one Twitter user pointed out, according to The Independent. Meanwhile, others are saying that Shapiro actually looked excited to watch "Barbie" and was just trying to sound "tough" and "manly." Shapiro posted his "feelings" regarding the film a few hours later in a video titled "Ben Shapiro DESTROYS The Barbie Movie For 43 Minutes." In that video, he burned a few Barbie dolls.
Ben Shapiro's "Barbie" Rant
In his 43-minute tirade, Shapiro called the movie "flaming garbage" before lighting up a garbage can with a few Barbie dolls inside. According to Newsweek, he also called "Barbie" "the worst movie" he has ever seen, though he did compliment the "beautiful costumes" and "production design." "The basic sort of premise of the film, politically speaking, is that men and women are on two sides and they hate each other," the political pundit opined. "And literally, the only way you can have a happy world is if the women ignore the men and the men ignore the women." He also claimed that he wasted "two hours of my precious time, two hours I will never get back, two hours around my deathbed I will wish that I had not spent that time doing. It makes me viscerally angry." READ MORE: Donald Trump Fake Electors in Michigan Charged
