Mark Zuckerberg took to X and seemingly called the fight between himself and Elon Musk off, taking to Threads to say neither side could agree on a few details, including exactly when the fight would happen. The Meta CEO also called out his X (formerly Twitter) counterpart for apparently ducking him.

"I think we can all agree Elon isn't serious and it's time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity," said Zuckerberg on Threads. "Elon won't confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead."

However, it seems that the Meta CEO is still open to the fight happening, as he added, "If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I'm going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously."

Elon Musk then replied, "I will be in Palo Alto on Monday. Let's fight in your Octagon." The Tesla CEO added, "I have not been practicing much... while I think it is very unlikely, given our size difference, perhaps you are a modern day Bruce Lee and will somehow win."

Musk has been teasing that the fight would be held at an "epic location," probably the Colosseum in Rome. However, Zuckerberg stated that he was "not holding his breath" as he wants an earlier fight date and they could not agree on when it would go down.

"If he ever agrees on an actual date, you'll hear it from me. Until then, please assume anything he says has not been agreed on," he previously said, according to Sky News.

Elon Musk Vs. Mark Zuckerberg Fight Was Supposed To Be for Veterans

While neither Musk nor Zuckerberg could agree on an actual date yet, they did agree that the fight's proceeds would go to veterans. The UFC will not be involved but will instead be promoted by Musk's and Zuckerberg's respective foundations, though the UFC's Dana White is still helping out.

It was Italy that first reached out to Mark Zuckerberg that the country will be the one to host the battle of the billionaires, with Zuck directing them to UFC President Dana White, whose people helped in the negotiations.

Conor McGregor Withdraws Support for Elon Musk Vs. Mark Zuckerberg Fight

After Elon Musk announced that the UFC would not be the one handling and promoting the fight, MMA legend Conor McGregor withdrew his support. The Irishman previously stated that he would watch the two bickering billionaires duke it out, but only if the UFC was the one promoting it.

Dana White has not yet responded to Musk's claims that the UFC will not be involved, though, according to Talk Sport. However, as soon as Musk tweeted about the fight, he tweeted, "I could not be less interested in this, I am so happy the UFC will not be involved."
