Brazilian reality star and influencer Luana Andrade has died after a liposuction procedure in a local hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She was just 29 years old.

Andrade was supposed to get a simple liposuction procedure in the hospital. However, just two hours into the cosmetic surgery, she went into cardiac arrest and was resuscitated by medical personnel.

Tests done after she died revealed that she experienced a massive thrombosis. This usually happens when blood clots block veins or arteries. As she went into cardiac arrest, doctors transferred her to the ICU, but it was too late. She was pronounced dead at around 5:30 PM local time, according to E! News.

Luana Andrade gained national popularity during her time in the 2022 Brazilian reality show "Power Couple Brasil 6," she became even more famous globally thanks to social media, becoming an Instagram celebrity with over half a million followers from around the world.

She is also friends with various other celebrities, including Brazilian soccer superstar Neymar.

Boyfriend Releases Statement Regarding Death of Brazil Influencer Luana Andrade

Following the death of Brazilian influencer Luana Andrade, her boyfriend, João Hadad, who appeared alongside her in that Brazilian reality show, broke his silence with a touching tribute on Instagram.

According to Page Six, the reality show star stated that he was "torn" and living in his "worst nightmare" after Andrade passed away.

"It is with great regret and a lot of pain in my heart that I say goodbye to my Luana, my princess, my beautiful," he captioned as he posted a black-and-white image of them near the Eiffel Tower.

Before her death, Hadad and Andrade went on a trip to Paris, France together.

"It's been two years by your side and I have no words to express how happy I was... We make a beautiful story and live our dreams intensely. More than a girlfriend you are and always will be a partner for life, my love," said the grieving Hadad on social media. "You are my sunshine princess I ask that you continue to watch over me and all of us from above. I will love you always and forever!"

The two had been dating each other since 2021.

Neymar Posts Tribute to Fallen Friend Luana Andrade

After Andrade's passing, Al Hilal forward Neymar paid a touching tribute to his good friend on social media, sending condolences to her entire family, according to GOAL.

"My condolences to the whole family, may God receive Luana with open arms," Neymar wrote on Instagram.

In that same post, Neymar also addressed the incident where his family was placed in danger in Brazil when his girlfriend, Bruna Biancardi, and their daughter were targeted in an armed burglary at their apartment. This resulted in Biancardi's parents being held hostage, but the soccer star revealed that while Biancardi's parents suffered, everyone was fine after the ordeal.
