"Lady Marmalade" is officially becoming the song that just keeps on giving.

Fans were first introduced to the sexually-driven anthem in 1974 by the group Labelle.

The song became so popular that it was reportedly inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and made it to Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Naturally, a song of such magnitude needs a remake, so that's exactly what happened.

In 2001, "Lady Marmalade" made a comeback, this time with music stars Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya, Pink, Missy Elliot and producer RockWilder.

The song was revamped and recreated for the movie "Moulin Rouge." Not only did "Moulin Rouge" become a success, so did the song.

With the powerhouse vocals of Christina Aguilera, Mya and Pink, and gritty the rhymes of Lil' Kim and Missy Elliot, the "Lady Marmalade" remix became what appeared to be an instant success.

The revamped song was reportedly a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. for five weeks and won Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mýa, and Pink a Grammy Award.

So now the question remains -- can "Lady Marmalade" have the same impact that it did back in the 70's and the start of the new millennium?

Well, it looks like we're about to find out.

Mashable reports that pop stars Ariana Grande, Jessie J, and Lil' Kim are teaming up to collaborate on a "Lady Marmalade" inspired song called "Bang Bang."

"Bang Bang" will reportedly be released on July 29 and is anticipated to have the same female empowerment impact that "Lady Marmalade" once had back in 1974 and in 2001.

According to Mashable, the collaborated song will be produced by Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya. It will be the first single from Jessie J's fall album release and an addition to Ariana's "My Everything" deluxe album.

The three pop divas took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce the upcoming song.
