Embattled New York Republican House Representative George Santos recently went on a tirade in front of news media after the House Ethics Committee found wrongdoing in his campaign funds scandal. He is now facing expulsion because of that Ethics Committee report after surviving repeated attempts to kick him out of Congress.

"I know I'm going to get expelled when this expulsion resolution goes to the floor," he told conservative media personality Monica Matthews in an interview, adding that he will "wear it like a badge of honor."

"I have done the math over and over, and it doesn't look really good." the controversial Congressman added.

He was accused of using campaign money for his personal expenses. The House Ethics Committee found that he did, spending money given to him by donors for things such as Botox treatments, lavish trips, and an Only Fans subscription.

While Santos was on air, Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia of California called into the X Spaces interview and confronted Santos directly.

"Why not just do the right thing and resign?" asked Garcia before pointing out, "We're going to vote to expel you, George." However, Santos tried to remain defiant and insisted he was not found guilty of anything, but Garcia repeated, "George, we're going to expel you."

Still, Santos wanted to sound defiant and told the California representative, "You're saying it like I'm scared of it, Robert. I'm not scared of it. ... I resign, I admit everything that's in that report, which most of it is some of the craziest s-t I've ever read in my life."

George Santos Called Himself 'Mary Magdalene of Congress' Amid Campaign Funds Scandal

Santos frequently went on long rants during his 3-hour X Spaces interview and lashed out against other House representatives, ranting, "Within the ranks of the United States Congress, there are felons galore. There's people with all sorts of sheisty backgrounds, and all of a sudden, George Santos is the Mary Magdalene of the United States Congress."

According to Mother Jones, this was a swan song of sorts for Santos, who would likely be expelled from Congress after the Ethics Committee report came out. While he can still run for Congress again, the controversial New York Republican has admitted he will not seek reelection again.

"I'm not running for reelection, not because this was a damning report. I'm not running for reelection because I don't want to work with a bunch of hypocrites," he said defiantly.

George Santos Goes Scorched Earth on Other House Representatives

He did not just slam his House colleagues, but he also took a page from Donald Trump's playbook and slammed the man judging him as he went after House Ethics Committee Chairman Michael Guest, a Mississippi Republican, during his long tirade.

The Daily Beast reported that Santos was goading Guest to introduce the resolution to expel him, telling the Mississippi Republican, "Be a man and stop being a p*ssy and call the damn motion."

Despite his insistence on being innocent and doing nothing wrong, the House Ethics Committee, which is made up of Democrats and Santos's fellow Republicans, found that he failed to properly disclose the $800,000 in personal loans he reportedly gave to his campaign. It also found that he used campaign funds to pay for his lavish lifestyle and improperly reimbursed himself with donor money for loans he did not make.
