Former WWE star Tammy Sytch, 50, has been sentenced to more than 17 years in prison following her involvement in a fatal crash in Florida in 2022 that claimed the life of a 75-year-old man.

The sentencing, handed down by Circuit Judge Karen Foxman, includes an additional eight years of probation upon Sytch's release, according to PEOPLE.

Sytch entered a plea of no contest on August 26, admitting to DUI manslaughter, four counts of DUI with damage to a person, and two counts of DUI with property damage, as reported by the newspaper.

This legal development unfolded just four months after Sytch's release from an eight-month prison stint for a prior DUI incident.

Judge Foxman, presiding over the case, found Sytch guilty and imposed a sentence of 17 years in prison, followed by the stipulated eight years of probation.

The probationary period carries specific conditions, including a mandatory substance abuse evaluation.

Sytch has been credited for the more than one year she has already served in the Volusia County Branch Jail.

Notably, Foxman rejected a defense request for a "downward departure" from the state guideline minimum sentence of approximately 10 1/2 years in prison, citing the "fairly egregious" nature of the case.

On Monday, Sytch was credited with 566 days for time served.

Tammy Sytch Deadly Car Crash

The tragic incident occurred on March 25, 2022, when Sytch, behind the wheel of a sedan, collided with a vehicle driven by Julian "Fran" Lasseter at a red light in the 100 block of North Yonge Street in Ormond Beach.

The impact resulted in Lasseter's death and the subsequent collision of his vehicle with another, per The Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Records indicate that Sytch's blood-alcohol content was measured between 0.32 and 0.36 less than an hour after the crash, four times the legal limit of 0.08 for legal intoxication.

Additionally, traces of marijuana were found in her bloodstream.

Sytch, who claimed to be unaware of the crash, mentioned making leftover burritos and consuming vodka in her kitchen earlier in the evening. However, she could not specify the quantity of alcohol consumed.

Tammy Sytch's Wrestling Career and Legal Troubles

Tammy Sytch, known for her time in WWE from 1994 to 1998, entered the wrestling industry through her long-time boyfriend, Chris Candido, who passed away in 2005.

After WWE, she worked at Extreme Championship Wrestling for a year before joining World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 2000, The U.S. Sun noted.

Then, she went back to WWE for some appearances in 2007, 2009, and 2011.

Despite her wrestling achievements, Sytch faced numerous legal challenges.

She spent 114 days in a Connecticut jail in 2013 after being arrested for assaulting her boyfriend and violating parole conditions.

During that time, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and underwent treatment while incarcerated.

She faced legal issues again in 2019, leading to a year-long prison term for DUI and other driving offenses, the Daily Mail reports.

Following her release, Sytch turned to platforms like OnlyFans for income. In 2016, she ventured into the adult entertainment industry, starring in the adult film 'Sunny Side Up.'
