Joe Biden Impeachment Inquiry: Republican Admits They Do Not Have Evidence POTUS Committed Any Crimes
Some House Republicans are saying the quiet part out loud as many of them admit they have launched the Joe Biden impeachment inquiry to make Donald Trump happy while they struggle to find any evidence of wrongdoing or any connection that the POTUS profited from the alleged crimes his son, Hunter Biden, committed.
The impeachment inquiry against Biden has now been formalized, though some of the Republicans who voted for the impeachment inquiry to proceed admit they have nothing to show in terms of Biden committing any "high crimes and misdemeanors."
One of the Republicans who voted for the impeachment inquiry to proceed is Rep. David Joyce of Ohio. He recently admitted in an interview with Newsmax, "The process has been abused," adding that "It's meant to take out mentally deficient folks, somebody who's lost their mind while they're in office, or somebody who's a [former Rep. George] Santos, like where they've committed in crimes while they're in office."
Surprisingly, Newsmax host Dan Abrams asked Joyce what crimes Biden committed, and to this, Joyce had no answer, according to The Hill.
"And as a former prosecutor, what exactly is the high crime or misdemeanor that's being investigated?" the host asked the Republican congressman, to which he admitted they have nothing.
"Well, yeah, that's a good point. And I haven't seen any of that today, but I'm looking forward to the investigative committees. ... I have three different committees that are all focused on this -OK, put up or shut up. You either have the evidence or you don't," the Ohio representative said, openly admitting they do not have any evidence of any crime Biden did or anything that would tie him to his son's crimes.

Why Are Republicans Holding an Impeachment Inquiry on Joe Biden?
Despite their lack of evidence, Republicans are still pushing for impeachment. They allege that President Joe Biden financially benefited from his family's foreign business dealings and that this warrants an impeachment inquiry, though their biggest problem right now is proving that.
Ian Sams, White House spokesperson for Oversight and Investigations, blasted the inquiry and said that it "only proves how divorced from reality this sham investigation is."
Meanwhile, Rep. Jamie Raskin, a Maryland Democrat and constitutional scholar, blasted his Republican colleagues and once again pointed to the lack of evidence that they have to impeach, per USA Today.
Joe Biden Impeachment Inquiry Expected To Fail
The Republican-controlled House barely passed the impeachment inquiry to proceed with a narrow 221-212 lead on Wednesday as House Speaker Mike Johnson faced growing pressure to show progress in their investigation, according to Al Jazeera News.
With the lack of evidence and the slim majority that Republicans hold right now, many believe the inquiry will fail. Even if Congress could vote on impeachment without any evidence of wrongdoing from Biden, it would still fail in the Senate, which is controlled by the Democrats. However, it does satisfy Donald Trump's wants, so he could say, "Joe Biden is impeached," as well, and win in the court of public opinion.
