Former President Donald Trump was not happy when three of his former White House aides sat down with ABC News and spoke out against him, calling a possible second Trump term "the end of American democracy as we know it."

Former White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah Griffin, former White House deputy press secretary Sarah Matthews, and former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson all sat down with ABC News "This Week" co-anchor Jonathan Karl and spoke about what they did after the events of the January 6 Capitol Insurrection where a judge and a state Supreme Court have all agreed that he did participate and even instigated an insurrection.

"Fundamentally, a second Trump term could mean the end of American democracy as we know it, and I don't say that lightly," Griffin told ABC News, claiming that her former boss went to "historic and unconstitutional lengths" in attempting to "steal a democratic election" in order to stay in power.

Griffin, now a host of ABC's "The View," added, "I'm very concerned about what the term would actually look like." She left the Trump administration and has since become an outspoken critic of the former president.

"To this day, he still doubles down on the fact that he thinks that the election was stolen and fraudulent," Matthews lamented on the former president repeating his claims despite them being proven untrue in courts. She added that Trump's rhetoric has become "increasingly erratic," and warned that he has threatened to skirt the Constitution and weaponize the Justice Department against his perceived political enemies.

"This is a fundamental election to continue to safeguard our institutions and our constitutional republic," said Hutchinson, who previously gained national fame for testifying during the January 6 Hearings. "We're extremely fragile as a country, and so is the democratic experiment."

Donald Trump Spends New Year's Eve Attacking Three Former White House Aides

The former Trump White House aides speaking out against him has had the former president riled up, so much so that he spent New Year's Eve attacking the three women over their ABC interview, according to Yahoo! News.

This includes having the Trump Campaign release a statement calling the women "ungrateful grifters" who "used the opportunities given to them by President Trump" and had gone "full Judas."

Jack Smith Pushes Back on Donald Trump Immunity Claim

While three women who used to work for him are speaking out, Trump is also facing four indictments, including a massive federal one regarding January 6. He claims immunity on that case on the grounds that he was president at the time, but Jack Smith is saying not so fast.

"The defendant asserts (Br.1) that this prosecution 'threatens ... to shatter the very bedrock of our Republic.' To the contrary: it is the defendant's claim that he cannot be held to answer for the charges that he engaged in an unprecedented effort to retain power through criminal means, despite having lost the election, that threatens the democratic and constitutional foundation of our Republic," Smith wrote in his scathing new filing that pushes back against Trump's immunity claims. "This Court should affirm and issue the mandate expeditiously to further the public's - and the defendant's - compelling interest in a prompt resolution of this case."
