Ohio Authorities Probe Botched SWAT Raid that Sends Baby to ICU
Authorities in Ohio are launching an investigation after a SWAT team allegedly raided the wrong house, leaving a one-year-old baby injured, according to FOX 28.
The incident occurred in Elyria, Ohio, where a family claims they were traumatized by the police raid.
The family reported that a flash bang injured the Ohio infant during the operation, but police deny using any inside the home.
The Jennings family's Ring doorbell camera captured the SWAT team breaching their front door in the middle of the day last Wednesday.
Courtney Price, a 25-year-old staying at her aunt and uncle's home with her one-year-old son, Waylon May, was alone when she heard a loud bang on the door.
According to Price, lights were flashing, and smoke filled the house. The police allegedly busted two windows during the operation, leaving Price's sick baby covered in glass.
Price, who was detained during the raid, claimed a flash-bang was thrown through the window where her son was sitting.
However, police assert that flash bangs were only deployed outside the house.

Ohio SWAT Team Claims Correct Warrant Execution Despite Family's Allegations
The Ohio SWAT team released a statement asserting that the address was correct on the warrant, authorized for an ongoing investigation.
They also claimed to have examined the child for injuries, determining that the baby boy had not been harmed, per The Independent.
Redia Jennings, Ms. Price's aunt, and the homeowner, stated that officers had repeatedly come to her property looking for a suspect she believes was the previous tenant.
"There's been five different occasions that detectives and CPS and officers have showed up at my house looking for (the suspect). They've been told numerous times he does not live here," she said.
Despite the family's allegations, the police department insists that no mistakes were made, and the ongoing investigation will determine the accuracy of the warrant execution.
Body Camera Footage Reveals Ohio SWAT Raid Details
The city of Elyria, Ohio, released redacted body camera footage of the SWAT raid, providing insight into the events that unfolded during the execution of a search warrant.
The video shows officers using a flash-bang grenade to enter the residence, breaking a window to a room where the Ohio infant, was purportedly sitting in a bouncer.
Courtney Price, the child's mother, can be seen handcuffed on the front lawn.
Waylon was subsequently taken to UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, where he is being treated for inflammation of the lungs and irritation of the eyes, along with the lingering effects of smoke.
The Ohio SWAT TEAM denied the toddler's exposure to chemical irritants and asserted that he received proper medical attention.
Price claimed that an officer admitted to going to the wrong house, a statement police vehemently deny.
The search warrant, obtained by 3News, indicated the Parmely Avenue address but was for a teen suspect, raising questions about the accuracy of the warrant.
Elyria Mayor Kevin Brubaker has ordered a full review of the incident and released the body camera footage, emphasizing the need for an external investigation to address the questions surrounding the warrant's issuance.
