Jay Z Cheating on Beyonce Rumors 2014: R&B Diva Sparks Rapper's Cheating Controversy, Changes 'Resentment' Lyrics [Watch]
Another cheating controversy of Jay Z sparks, as Beyoncé changes several parts of song lyrics during the ongoing "On the Run" summer tour.
The 32-year-old R&B diva took the stage to perform her powerful ballad "Resentment," wearing a white wedding dress at the joint show in Ohio on Saturday night, June 28. She actually recorded the unreleased track for her 2006 sophomore studio album "B'day."
Many fans speculated that the Houston-based singer was alluding to rapper husband's infidelity, as she switched the words to the song about a woman being cheated on. The original lyrics read: "I'll always remember feeling like I was no good ... Like I couldn't do it for you like your mistress could" -- she replaced "your mistress" with "that wack b*tch," while the Brooklyn emcee was near by.
The hip-hop power couple first met when they collaborated on 2002 hit "Bonnie & Clyde," and got married in April 2008. Bey continued to call out Hov for being unfaithful by singing: "I know she was attractive, but I was here first / Been ridin' with you for 12 years / Why did I deserve to be treated this way by you?" She changed "six years" to "twelve years," which is the right amount of time they have been together until now.
She also added in new lyrics later in the track. "I gotta look at her in her eyes and she's had half of me," she sang before adding, "She ain't even half of me. That b*tch will never be."
Beyoncé previously talked about the scandalous track off "B'Day" in a YouTube video for 4music. "The song on my new album I am proudest of is probably 'Resentment,'" she said. "I feel like vocally I've grown, I feel like all the chord changes and the beautiful harmonies and the lyrics is something that I really am proud of."
The "Drunk in Love" duo's "On the Run" joint tour is scheduled to include more than 20 dates in both North America and Europe.
