Diddy's LA Home Searched by Homeland Security Due to Alleged Ongoing Sex Trafficking Investigation
Federal law enforcement officers conducted searches at properties linked to musician and producer Sean "Diddy" Combs on Monday as part of an ongoing investigation into sex trafficking, a source familiar with the matter informed CNN.
The source refrained from specifying whether Combs himself was the primary target, citing the sensitivity of the investigation.
Responding to reports of raids at Diddy houses, the Department of Homeland Security Investigations New York confirmed its involvement, stating it had carried out "law enforcement actions" as part of an ongoing inquiry.
Law enforcement personnel were observed at two of Diddy houses - one located in the Miami area and another in Los Angeles, according to CNN journalists present at the scene.
HSI New York disclosed that it collaborated with HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and local law enforcement agencies in executing these actions.
Further details were promised as the situation unfolded.
HSI, the lead investigative body of the US Department of Homeland Security, focuses on probing transnational crimes, including human trafficking.
A representative from HSI Miami described the operation as the execution of a search warrant.
As of now, it remains unclear whether Combs or other residents are the specific targets of these law enforcement actions.
Representatives for Sean Combs did not provide a response regarding the incident.
