Argentina President Javier Milei Feuding With Mexico's AMLO and Colombia's Gustavo Petro
Argentina may have just realized that it elected the least diplomatic president possible as Javier Milei has started feuds with the leaders of his neighbors, Mexico's Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) and Colombia's Gustavo Petro, with Milei trading barbs with his fellow Latin American leaders and increasing tensions in the region.
There has been a lot of mudslinging between Milei and other Latin American leaders as of late and he has been taking shots at AMLO and Petro with some Donald Trump-style name-calling.
Milei called Petro "a murderous communist," and this prompted Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador to his ally's aide, saying that he could not understand how Argentines could elect somebody like him. Meanwhile, Milei has called AMLO "ignorant" several times.
Most of the mudslinging between these world leaders happened on social media, but it got even more heated when Milei sat down for an interview with CNN and hurled insults at his Colombian counterpart, Gustavo Petro, a former guerrilla fighter who became the first leftist leader of the South American country.
"Not much can be expected from someone who was a terrorist murderer," Milei said. In a previous interview, Milei claimed that Petro was sinking his country before referring to socialists as "human excrement," prompting Petro to fire back, saying, "this is what Hitler said."
Milei has a history of butting heads with other world leaders, currently also feuding with Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro and even Pope Francis, whom he previously called a "filthy leftist." He made up with the latter after Latin America's first-ever pope called to congratulate him for winning the presidency.

Colombia Expels Diplomats From Argentina After Javier Milei Vs. Gustavo Petro Row
With Milei calling its president a terrorist, Colombia has now ordered the expulsion of Argentinian diplomats from the country. The Foreign Ministry of Colombia cited "denigrating" comments by the president of Argentina regarding Petro as the reason for the expulsion.
"The Argentinian president's comments have deteriorated the trust of our nation, in addition to offending the dignity of President Petro, who was democratically elected." read a statement from the Colombian Foreign Ministry.
Al Jazeera noted that it is still not clear how many Argentinian diplomats will be expelled, but the Colombian Foreign Ministry noted that the expulsion would be communicated to Argentina through "diplomatic channels."
Mexico President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador Fires Back and Argentina President Javier Milei
AMLO and Milei have traded barbs before, with Lopez Obrador calling the Argentinian leader a "conservative fascist." Meanwhile, Milei fired back and said, "It's flattering that an ignorant man like Lopez Obrador speaks ill of me, it exalts me."'
AMLO then referenced Milei's feud with Pope Francis, saying, "I still do not understand how the Argentines, being so intelligent, voted for someone who despises the people and who dared to accuse his countryman Francis of being a 'communist' and 'representative of the Evil One on earth,' when he is the most Christian Pope and defender of the poor that I have ever known or heard of."
