Mike Johnson Could Be Saved by Democrats From Marjorie Taylor Greene's Ouster Attempt
House Republicans are in chaos once again as Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia is trying to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson as even the MAGA wing are fighting amongst themselves. However, the embattled ultra-conservative Speaker of the House may find some unlikely allies that might save him from MTG, House Democrats.
The House is scheduled to return on Tuesday after a two-week recess, with the return seeing the House tackle a few issues it had not taken on yet, including Greene's attempt at kicking Johnson out for agreeing with Democrats and moderate Republicans over several government funding issues. To Greene, Johnson's latest agreements with Democrats were simply not MAGA enough.
Greene filed the resolution last month, but it was held off because of the recess. She was among the many Republicans who embraced Johnson for the speakership but have since soured on him because he agreed to compromise with the Democrats.
While Greene did not even try to force a vote to vacate the speakership, she said that she left it as a "warning" for Johnson, as she voiced her opposition to the $1.2 trillion bill to fund the government long-term, which was passed by the House with support from the ultra-conservative Speaker.
According to USA Today, a majority of House Republicans did not approve of the bill, with Mike Johnson being forced to rely on Democrats to pass the bill. However, unlike the ouster of Kevin McCarthy, Democrats could prevent another political crisis as they are likely to save Johnson.
Johnson now finds himself in a tough spot. On one hand, he could lose his job even if he would pander to the far-right; on the other, he could deliver on bipartisan priorities such as Ukraine aid and get Democrats to agree to save him, but this could alienate the far-right.
Even Conservative Outlets Poked Fun at Marjorie Taylor Greene Over Mike Johnson Ouster Attempt
Not all in the right were happy with MTG's attempt to oust Speaker Mike Johnson, however, as the conservative New York Post, owned by News Corp which also owns Fox News, blasted her "lunatic case" and called the motion to vacate a "preposterous farce."

This scathing column from the conservative outlet further showed the turmoil currently happening in the right, with the Murdoch-owned publication calling out MTG for her flipflopping as she previously praised Johnson before turning on him because he acted bipartisan.
Joe Biden Is Turning Marjorie Taylor Greene Into a Punchline
Meanwhile, because of the turmoil Greene is causing in the Republican Party, Joe Biden is using her to his advantage and has begun cracking jokes at her expense.
Because of Greene causing turmoil, the Biden Campaign is now pairing her with her biggest ally, Donald Trump as this could energize voters who might view her more negatively than the Republican presumptive nominee. The campaign has also tied her to the extremist movement in the MAGA wing that tried to take down democracy on January 6.
On TikTok, the Biden campaign posted short videos roasting MTG's move against Johnson while also posting tweets of her previously praising both Kevin McCarthy and the current embattled House Speaker. The video came with a breakup tune with the caption: "Don't get too comfortable sweetheart... I was MTG's everything once too."
