The daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes does not want to be called Suri Cruise anymore, as the teen has already dropped the Cruise surname and opted to be called something else instead. The 18-year-old aspiring actress is said to be estranged from her father.

The change reportedly came after she turned 18 as she made several big life decisions, including her name. While her birth name is Suri Cruise, she is now being called Suri Noelle, with Noelle being mother Katie Holmes' middle name.

Following her divorce from Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes raised Suri alone. However, the "Mission Impossible" actor still paid millions in child support. However, he was never really there to help raise her, leading to their estrangement.

Despite not getting along with her father, she is still trying to follow in his showbiz footsteps as she tries to be an actress herself. According to Newsweek, this is evident as she recently starred in the "Head Over Heels" musical in New York City. This is also where her name change was revealed as she was listed as Suri Noelle and not Cruise.

Reports have stated that she has been estranged from Tom Cruise since childhood, with Katie Holmes admitting that her daughter is very close to her and that they share a close mother-daughter bond with one another.

Suri has lived a relatively normal life even with her celebrity mother and A-lister father. A source familiar with her family revealed to the Daily Mail that "Suri will not have any contact with her father, despite being 18, and even if he called, she would not answer."

"He does not exist to Katie or Suri, and his daughter does not want to rely on him for anything." added the unnamed source. "She feels that she has one parent and that is her mother."

For now, Suri has yet to cement her future but it is clear that she may be trying to follow in her parents' footsteps as she landed several acting jobs and was even acting back in high school, playing Morticia Addams in an "Addams Family" play.

Despite her parents' fame and her trying to get into acting, Suri has been trying to avoid the limelight, insiders say.

With the news of her dropping her father's name, avid photographers recently found her taking a leisurely stroll in New York where she grew up. She was described to look more like Katie Holmes than Tom Cruise.

However, Hello! Magazine noted that her name drop might just be when she is performing and she is still legally Suri Cruise. She is expected to enter college soon but where she will study is still not known.

As for her mother, she has constantly praised her daughter who has been noted for her singing, saying in a previous interview, "I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her."
