After taking some time off in Miami, the NBA champions, Boston Celtics, arrived back in New England for their championship parade, and as expected, it was wild and chaotic, with plenty of green and white confetti and of course, duck boats.

The Celtics made history when it finally won its 18th NBA title after 16 years, and Boston fans turned out in droves for the championship parade after such a long wait for the historic franchise. There were so many fans that Boston officials estimated that over a million of them showed up for the parade.

"I'm ready for the greatest day of my life, and that includes my wedding and the birth of my son," one fan told SB Nation's Celtics Life page, admitting that he had been camping out on Causeway Street since 6:00 AM. The parade was not scheduled until 11 AM but by 8:30, the streets of Boston were already packed in a sea of green.

The parade kicked off at the TD Garden with a pre-parade celebration at around 10 AM, with special guests Mayor Michele Wu and Governor Maura Healey celebrating Celtic Pride and for the team finally delivering a championship to the city of Boston after over a decade of waiting.

NBC Sports Boston's Brian Scalabrine, a former member of that 2008 championship team with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, moderated the pre-parade celebration. He asked Jaylen Brown about the criticisms the team had about having an easy path to the Finals, to which the Bill Russel NBA Finals MVP answered, "Make it make sense, Scal, I ain't got to comment - we here!"

After that, the Celtics all got into their duck boats as the parade finally began. Latvian center Kristaps Porzingis draped a Latvian flag on himself while also wearing a WWE championship belt while Jayson Tatum could not put the Larry O'Brien trophy down, lifting it through the parade.

Celtics coach Joe Mazulla was acting wild himself, as he got off his duck boat, interacted with fans, got on top of his duck boat, started screaming, and was genuinely enjoying himself, even with a torn meniscus.

Boston Celtics Star Al Horford Trolls Tom Brady, NFL Legend Approves

Before the parade began, Dominican Republic star Al Horford was seen wearing an infamous "drunk Tom Brady" shirt. The image went viral on social media and Tom Brady himself saw that. Needless to say, the former New England Patriots QB was amused and gave his approval.

The shirt was a reference to Brady having too much fun at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl parade in 2021, where he appeared to have had too much alcohol celebrating their Super Bowl victory.

Boston Celtics Fans Troll Other NBA Stars, Teams

The Boston Celtics is known for having some of the wildest fans in the NBA and the Celtics victory parade proved that as many of them brought signs that poked fun at Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, and the New York Knicks.

One fan noted that Luka, known for his frequent arguments with referees, stated that he would be complaining about the traffic in Boston. Meanwhile, another trolled Celtics Public Enemy #1 Kyrie Irving, and noted that the former Celtics star and current Dallas Mavericks guard was probably playing golf right now.

Another poked fun at the New York Knicks fans who booed when their team drafted Kristaps Porzingis. The Latvian was instrumental in the Celtics' win. As for Embiid, fans pointed out that some of the Celtics' more unknown bench players have more rings than him now.
