Indiana: Missing Teen Found Safe At Religious Compound, Parents Arrested
Indiana State Police successfully located 14-year-old Bryson Muir safe and well after executing a raid on his parents' compound in Logansport, Indiana.
The operation, conducted by an ISP SWAT team early Wednesday morning, resulted in the arrest of Daniel and Kristen Muir, the missing Indiana teen's parents, who face serious charges amid allegations of domestic abuse, according to WLFI.
Parents Arrested Amid Child Welfare Concerns
Daniel Muir, an ex-NFL player with ties to an extreme religious group, and his wife Kristen were apprehended as ISP officers executed search and arrest warrants at their residence on US 24.
The raid followed a Silver Alert issued for Bryson, who had been missing since June 16, prompting concerns from his grandmother regarding potential domestic violence.
"His face was battered. When I got him, he had a black eye and busted lips," Cheryl Wright said, the missing Indiana teen's grandmother.
The ISP SWAT team's intervention at Muir's residence was a critical development in the ongoing investigation into Bryson's disappearance, Fox News reports.
According to Sergeant Steven Glass, the missing Indiana teen was found at the compound with visible injuries, including a black eye, as depicted in the Silver Alert issued earlier.
Daniel and Kristen Muir were taken into custody without incident, while Bryson was placed under the care of the Cass County Department of Child Services.
Daniel Muir, 40, faces charges of obstruction of justice and misdemeanor domestic battery, highlighting the severity of the allegations against him.
The missing Indiana teen mother, Kristen Muir, 38, also faces a felony obstruction of justice charge.
The specifics of the charges and related court documents have been sealed by the Cass County Clerk's Office, underscoring the sensitive nature of the ongoing legal proceedings.

Unveiling Background and Family Dynamics
Daniel Muir, known for his tenure as a defensive tackle for the Indianapolis Colts, played professionally for seven seasons before retiring.
His career spanned from 2007 to 2013, including stints with other NFL teams after going undrafted in 2007.
The missing Indiana teen's disappearance and subsequent recovery have brought attention to the Muir family's association with the Servant Leader's Foundation, an organization that owns both the Muir's residence and the vehicle involved in Bryson's initial disappearance from Ohio, ABC News noted.
The religious group's involvement adds complexity to the case as investigators continue to piece together the events leading up to Bryson's recovery.
In the aftermath of Bryson's disappearance, initial attempts by authorities to engage the Muir family were met with resistance, culminating in their non-cooperation during scheduled meetings with investigators.
This development, coupled with Bryson's injuries reported by his grandmother, Cheryl Wright, underscores the urgency and gravity of the child welfare concerns, prompting the ongoing investigation.
