TINI releases Spanish version of 'We pray' with Coldplay
Coldplay's much-anticipated single "We Pray," featuring Argentine superstar TINI, officially dropped its Spanish version on Thursday. This track has already made waves globally, topping charts and racking up downloads. The original version of "We Pray" features a star-studded lineup including British rapper Little Simz, Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Burna Boy, and Palestinian-Chilean R&B star Elyanna.
Dubbed the 'TINI Version,' this release brings a fresh, vibrant twist to the hit single. Elyanna's version is set to hit digital platforms on September 20.
TINI set the stage for today's release with a teaser on Instagram, where she previewed her collaboration with Coldplay and announced the Spanish version's arrival. Her post featured a snippet of her contribution to the song and included the heartfelt line, "Smiling not just for the photo, all of us looking at the sky from the ground we are the same skin," alongside a verse by Coldplay's Chris Martin.
The original track, released on August 23, quickly became a global phenomenon. Following its success, TINI joined Coldplay on stage at Dublin's Croke Park, turning Grafton Street into an impromptu concert venue where they performed the song for fans. TINI also shared behind-the-scenes moments from the Dublin performance on her Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of her electrifying presence alongside Coldplay and other collaborators.
The song "We Pray" tackles themes of freedom and peace, aiming to offer a message of hope amidst global conflicts like those in Russia-Ukraine and the Gaza Strip. This track is the first single from Coldplay's upcoming album "Moon Music," set for release on October 4. The album promises to address various global and personal issues, reflecting Coldplay's ongoing commitment to using their platform for meaningful commentary.
In addition to the Spanish and Arabic versions of "We Pray," fans can look forward to more from Coldplay's new album as the release date approaches.
