The first stage of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Colombia 2024 has concluded, with some Latin American nations showing positive performance that led them into the Round of 16. Here's how they fared: 

Colombia Leads Group A

In Group A, Colombia emerged as the standout team, winning all three of their matches to top the group. Mexico followed closely, securing second place with 4 points. Cameroon and Australia, the other teams in the group, finished at the bottom and exited the competition.

Brazil Dominates Group B

Brazil was the sole Latin American representative in Group B and showed their dominance by winning all three of their matches, finishing top of the group with a perfect score: 9 points.

Paraguay and Venezuela Face Early Exits

In Group C, Paraguay was eliminated after finishing third with 3 points, falling short of leaders Spain and the United States. Similarly, in Group D, Venezuela ended in last place, with two losses and one draw across their three matches.
