Valeria Lukyanova has enjoyed years of media attention because of her Barbie-like looks, but she may have some new competition.

Alina Kovalevskaya is a 21-year-old woman from the Ukraine, who says she got her doll-like looks without any plastic surgery, according to a Barcroft TV video.

"From adolescence, I loved to change my image. It started when I was 13 years old," she said. "Since then I love to try something new. Now I have the image of a Barbie doll. I consider big eyes, small noses and small plump lips as beautiful."

Kovalevskaya and Lukyanova, 28, are both from Odessa, and the two women used to be friends. Kovalevskaya said that the two stopped talking after having a falling out.

"There was a certain negative attitude from her towards me and we were often quarreling because of that and now we do not communicate," she said. "I know this person better now. I learned who she is while we had this confusion and I realised that she is not a person with whom I would like to talk or even be friends."

In the same video, Kovalevskaya explained that she does not like to go to the beach during the day because she doesn't like to tan.

She began to transforming herself into a doll 18 months ago, said the Odessa citizen, who is studying psychology and social work.

After seeing pictures of other doll-like women, she decided to try out contacts that made her eyes appear larger. Her friends told her that she definitely looked like a Barbie.

Kovalevskaya posts hair and makeup tutorials on YouTube, and she has 22,000 followers on VK, a Russian social media network.

Despite getting a lot of attention, which includes marriage proposals, when she goes out, the human Barbie said she is still looking for love.
