GTA 5 Online Gameplay News: Rockstar Games Still Giving Away Independence Day Goods in 'Grand Theft Auto V'
"Grand Theft Auto Online" players have until only Sunday to reap the benefits of Rockstar Games' The Independence Day Event Weekend.
The event started Thursday in celebration of the Fourth of July and continues until the end of the weekend.
"San Andreas will be celebrating the birthplace of freedom with big RP & GTA$ bonuses, patriotic discounts at Ammu-Nation, giveaways and lots more ..." Rockstar Games announced via its Newswire page.
Even if gamers are joining the celebration late, there are still plenty of benefits to enjoy.
For example, the online version of "Grand Theft Auto V" is offering 75 percent off airstrikes, 25 percent off heavy ammunition "for RPGs, grenade launchers and miniguns" and free deliveries from Pegasus Lifestyle Management.
Furthermore, gamers will get double GTA$ and RP when they participate in jobs from the Independence Day Special Event Playlist.
"The 'Independence Day Special Event' Playlist is a special selection of some of the brand new Rockstar-created jobs published this week, including specific races for new vehicles like the Sovereign motorcycle and the super-sized Liberator monster truck," Rockstar Games explained.
Rockstar Games is also hosting another Snapmatic contest, this one dubbed #INDEPENDENCEDAY.
"[W]e want to see those Snapmatic pics showing your love for Old Glory," Rockstar Games said. "Whether you're rolling over foreign compact cars in the Liberator monster truck or setting off some fireworks in the yard of your new Paleto Bay abode, share your ... patriotic snaps for a chance to win GTA$1M and an AMERICA vanity license plate ... ."
Last, but not least, gamers still have a chance to win the Independence Day Gear Giveaway Sweepstakes. This time around, Rockstar Games is giving out five bundles of "suitably patriotic and rare GTA gear." This includes a "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" beach ball, a "Grand Theft Auto IV"-themed aluminum bat and foam finger, a "Grand Theft Auto V" T-shirt, a Patriot Beer cup and a Statue of Happiness figure.
