Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date, Specs News: US Version Ships With Snapdragon 800 Processor
We're in the home stretch now. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is less than two weeks away from its debut, and the tech world is waiting with rapt attention to see what the next generation of phablet has in store for us.
It is widely believed that the folks at Samsung are planning to formally debut the Note 3 during their Unpacked event in Berlin Sept. 4, which is just before the IFA electronics conference. That said, plenty of information on the phablet has already leaked.
"Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 is expected to land on a number of carriers in the United States and elsewhere when it arrives. And when it does, the device is thought to have a 5.7-inch 1080p display, 13MP camera, 3GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor or Exynos 5 Octa, Android 4.3 and more," reports GottaBeMobile.
That Snapdragon 800 processor is expected to run on an LTE network, and will be the only option available for those in the United States. It is believed that between 70 and 80 percent of all Note 3s will be equipped with the Snapdragon 800 processor, including the first four million units shipped.
Now the question becomes, when will be able to get our hands on this mobile behemoth's computing power? Originally, the Note 3 was not expected to be released until later in the fall. However, with the debut of the new iPhone fast approaching, it appears that Samsung is aiming to move up that release date.
"Rumors suggest that the device could start shipping almost immediately after the September 4th launch with a release falling in early-to-mid September, much sooner than last year's Galaxy Note 2 release date. It's still not clear whether this will go down but we do know that the Galaxy Note 3 release date is indeed inching closer," reports Adam Mills.
For now it is still uncertain when to expect the Note 3, but many other sources have suggested a likely September release. The phablet has already passed a Bluetooth Certification, a move likely spurred by the desire to get it to market ASAP. Stay tuned as we get more information, and make sure not to miss the debut Sept. 4!
