Jessica Simpson Gets Married: Husband is Former NFL Player Eric Johnson
It undoubtedly was a happy Independence Day weekend for singer and fashion mogul Jessica Simpson and her fiance, former NFL player Eric Johnson.
Following their three-year engagement, Simpson and Johnson finally wed Saturday at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, with their two children taking part in the wedding ceremony.
According to USA Today, "the couple's son Ace, 1, was the ring bearer, and daughter Maxwell, 2, was flower girl," strolling down the aisle with Simpson's nephew Bronx, 5.
E! News reports that over 250 guests attended.
Among the guests were "Jessica's sister, Ashlee Simpson, and her fiance, Evan Ross, and Jessica Alba and her family." "Topher Grace and his girlfriend" also made an appearance, and "Johnson's old football buddies from Yale and the NFL" came, including Tim Rattay.
So now, let's get to the good stuff.
The gushing bride "wore a custom Carolina Herrera gown" to walk down the aisle and exchange vows, People Magazine reported.
"We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment. To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives," they later told People.
The ranch where the wedding ceremony took place was reportedly decked out in rose gardens, and Johnson and Simpson exchanged vows "under a canopy with chevron seating."
Congrats, Jessica and Eric!
Another Simpson who seemed to be enjoying himself this Fourth of July weekend is Jessica's father, Joe Simpson.
RadarOnline reports that despite denying rumors that he is gay, Joe was spotted bringing a male companion along with him for Jessica's wedding.
The companion in question is 21-year old model Jonathan Keith.
Though Joe has insisted Keith is simply his client, the two were spotted swimming together the day before Jessica's wedding ceremony.
