Germany advanced to the 2014 World Cup Final after taking a dominating 7-1 win over host Brazil in their semifinals showdown on Tuesday at the Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte.

Thomas Mueller opened the scoring parade for Germany off a well-taken corner kick from Toni Kroos in the 11th minute of the match. The 2010 World Cup Golden Boot winner netted his fifth goal of the tournament, and is in good position to duplicate his feat from four years ago in South Africa.

Miroslav Klose then took away the spotlight as he netted Germany's second goal of the match. The 23rd minute goal was Klose's 16th goal in a World Cup to become the record-holder for most goals scored in World Cup history.

And just when Brazil was recovering from Klose's historic goal, Toni Kroos joined the scoring parade as he scored two more goals in the 24th and 26th minute, which was followed by another goal from Sami Khedira in the 29th minute to make it 5-0, stunning the home crowd at the Mineirao.

Andre Schurrle, a second-half substitute, made the score line even more humiliating when he scored two more goals, including an impressive strike in the 79th minute -- a goal that was applauded by the stunned Brazilian fans inside the stadium.

When the match was all over except for the final score line, Brazilian midfielder Oscar had a consolation goal in the final minute of the match.

With the win, Germany advances to the World Cup Final and will face either Argentina or the Netherlands -- two teams that are set to collide on Wednesday.

Tuesday's game marks the first non-friendly competive home loss for Brazil since 1975, a 3-1 loss to Peru in the Copa América.
